payments and harrasment
I the spring of 05' my husband and I leased a new van from Chrysler. After about 8months to 1 year we were having finicial difficulties and Chrysler would call me at work anywhere from 3-15 times a day this went on for about 3 months. When I told them I could not recieve personal phone calls at work the rep and I Believe his name was Brad said that he did not care that since I was not answering the phone at home or returning his calls he was going to continue to call me at work. Then in June of 06' they repossed the van. We borrowed money from my mother -in-law and got the van back. We paid on time for about 4 months, then we had to make a choice, pay the full payment and not put food on the table for 4 kids or pay 1/2 the payment and put food on the table. Like any responsible parent we choose food. I get paid every other Fri. so in 2 weeks we were going to pay the other 1/2 of the payment. So Fri. comes I get my check I had to leave my place of employment for a training class and I rode with a co-worker when I returned to the store the car was gone. When I called to find out what happened they told me that because they reossed it once that they could do it at anytime when we were behind. I tried to tell the "customer Service Rep" (so they call themselves ) that I was only a 1/2 payment behind and I was going to make it when I got home after I deposited my check and they told me " to late". After great deliberation btween my husband and I we decided to let them keep the car. Then last year While my husband was in Iraq they started garnishing my wages. They take out over 600 dollars a month. which is 200 more than the orginal payment. I have 5000 more to pay and on 8/19 they send me a check for 200 and some odd dollars that stateed the account number and says overpayment on account. So I call the Lawyer who handeled the court case and they could not tell me what that was for but they will e-mail Chrysler and find out . So 2 weeks go by and I never got a call back, but I did get another check for 323.00 which is more than what they just took out of my payroll check. I call the lawyer back and they still can not tell me what this is for but insist that this garnishment is not paid in full. Another week goes by and today on 9/24 in the mail I get a chek for 343.00. I pick up the phone and get a girl named Crystal who tells me that they have made a mistake and that they will have to extend my garnishment to get that 800.00 that they have paid me. I tell her I want a supervisor. Crystal refuses to give me a supervisor and says that she is not going to argue with me. I told Crystal to give me a supervisor and again she refuses. I tried to get the coperate number and not a single person could give me that number. My husband called and got a supervisor (image that). And now we are waiting on a phone call back from a supervisor named Michelle. I have worked in Customer Service for 12 years with The Home Depot. If I ever spoke to a customer in the manner I was just spoken to by Crystal and if I ever refused to give a customer a manager or corporate number I would be walked out the door and rightfully so. I guess I should not except to much after all they are being run by Bob Nardelli. Who also did a number on Home Depot if you are not aware.
