live on Tiki Island near Galveston Texas...after Hurricane Ike we obviously had some repairs and one of them was to replace our wood deck. We hired S&S Enterprises, Chuck Stephens, to do the job. He got about 90% complete then left the state...money in hand. Not only that but, he damaged our cooldeck under the house and now we have to repair that as well at our own expense. Chuck has worked in Houma, LA 985-852-1036 and here in Galveston, TX 409-370-1060 and his latest address is in Maggie Valley, NC 828-400-8558. Also, his crew would work for about 2 to 3 hours at at time then would disappear for the day...we signed the contract on July 2nd and the last time we saw him was at the end of September (who takes that long to redo a deck...or anything for that matter!!). One last thing, the lumber yard where he purchased the materials called ME to get his phone number b/c his local number wasn't working due to not paying his bill. They told me he wrote them a hot check are going to serve him. DO NOT HIRE HIM...for anything! If he screws people who have just been through a catastrophe, imagine what he would do to someone who just wants to remodel. Who knows...that may not even be his name or the company name for that matter!
