My complaint is against Chuck's Electric of Brentwood, California. In June of 2006, Chuck was working on a neighbor's house when he dropped a service line on my vehicle and dragged the wires across the vehicle scratching it in multiple locations. He and his wife would almost never answer the phone or return calls regarding the cost to repair the car. When they did, they would hang up on us or would say that their insurance company and-or their attorney, neither of which ever contacted us, was investigating. We reported them to the Better Business Bureau and they never responded to the BBB either.
We turned the claim in to our insurance company in August. The insurance company tried numerous times to contact them and they never replied. Finally, when our insurance company sent the claim to collections, they paid up. We got our $50 deductible back from the insurance company in November, but I feel that Chuck's should pay me for the three days that I needed to rent a car while mine was in the shop and I had to have a car to get to work. My insurance company wouldn't ask them for the money, because we aren't covered for rentals in this situation. Chuck's has not paid the $90.93 for the rental and will not respond to multiple inquiries from me.
