Found two charges on my bank billing statement in the sums of $14.95 each billed on the same day. I have no idea who they are or what services they provide. This is absolutely unauthorized- I am refuting these charges with my bank.

I've been billed $14.95 for some sort of service that I don't want and never requested.

A "free credit report" charged $80.00 to my credit union acct. I feel this is gross misrepresentation!

OK here is some information for all of you who think CIC*triple Advantage is a scam. First off it isn't it is clearly listed on the site for Freecreditreport.com, also all the radio and TV commercials it says offer applies to enrollment into Triple Advantage. Y'all just need to learn to read before you enter your card information. below is copied from the freecreidtreport.com site

When you order your free report here, you will begin your free trial membership in Triple AdvantageSM Credit Monitoring. If you don't cancel your membership within the 7-day trial period**, you will be billed $14.95 for each month that you continue your membership.

also if you do forget to read the information all you have to do to cancel the membership is call 877-481-6825. It isn't fraud and it isn't a scam just most of america wants something for nothing and refuses to read the "fine print" before "signing"

Also before y'all think i work for them i don't i just am one of the FEW who knows to read everything before giving out my personal information..

IF you want a free creidt report you need to go to www.Annualcreditreport.com which is the site for the US Gov's free once a year site

I had signed up for the free credit report... maybe I didn't see the fine print doesn't matter these people dont ask "Hey do you want to continue and get more credit reports for 15.00 a month" They just randomly charged me only a few days after I got my credit report.

This is what I sent them once I saw the charges

"My name is Lyndsey---------- and my fiance's name is Tomas---------and we both did the free credit report but that is ALL we wanted. We cannot afford 15.00 dollars to be taken out of our account randomly when we only wanted the free report. We want our money back and our memberships cancled and we dont not want to charged for anything else.


Now as you can see I had signed my fiance up too and considering I only had like 20 dollars in my account at the time I was terrified that would get an overdraft which for my bank costs me 27 dollars Thank god they didn't charge us twice yet. I was assuming that I would have my membership cancled and that would be that, no money back or anything. This is what they sent a couple of days later.

"Thank you for writing.

We’re sorry to see you go! We have received your request to cancel both your Triple Advantage Memberships. We have processed your request as of September 23, 2008. Your membership will be discontinued and you will receive no further charges to your credit card. A credit of $14.95 will be initiated and will be posted on your next billing cycle.

We hope you enjoyed your Triple Advantage benefits, including the online alerts when key information changed on your report. Although the membership may not have been right for you, please remember that we offer an array of instant credit reports. We look forward to serving any of your future personal credit needs.

I still didn't think I would get my money back but low and behold today I looked in my bank account and I have an extra 15 dollars in my bank account so I decided to put this up here hoping it might get someone else's money back. I know someone else has a method that has to do with their customer service number but hopefully this works for someone and saves them some time and some stress of dealing with people who dont want to deal with you.

Better yet...don't get you credit report from them!!! Apply for a credit card and if you get declined they offer you a free credit report TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT OFFER. Not this crappy website that just wants to suck away your money.
