In March of 2010 I took my 02 Chevy Trailblazer in because the transmission was skipping the 1st gear sometimes after the engine was heated up. $400 later and a new solenoid didn't fix the problem. Was told I would have to have the trans dropped and would cost to fix about 3, 000 - 4, 500 total. Oh by the way, did I know my 4 wheel drive didn't work? And if I decided to trade it in with both of those things not working, I should consider bringing it back there, as they would offer me more than the possible $500 trade in, and it would make a great car for my teenage son.
I was really upset when driving away, because I had used the 4 wheel drive within the last 3 wks and it worked fine. Now it doesn't as he said and the idiot light indicated that on the dash.
My 35+ son wanted to buy it cause it's in good condition, so I got a 3, 000 trade in price from a dealer and sold it to my son for that. He fixed the 4 wheel drive by replacing the fuse, and the trans, is messing up a little now and then, the he'll fix that also himself. I feel as if I was lied to for someone else’s benefit as I believe Cincinnati Transmission actually did something to my fuse's to make the 4x4 not work as I never had a min. trouble with the 4x4 unit since I bought it in 02. Oh well, its proof, ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION ON SERVICE REPAIRS. There are still scammers out there in the business.
