auto Loan
My truck was being finance by another company suddenly I received a letter stating that I would be now submitting payment to Citi Financial Auto. what a big mistake, after making my 72 payment per agreement. I was a couple times late but always paid and include late fees when I did, it use to be a week or so never 30 days late. complete my payments thinking I was finish paying for my truck here comes a bill for 12, 000.00 extra, claiming it is for late fees. My Goddness there is no way anyone regardless how late they are to have 12, 000.00 in late fees. These people are very rude and unprofessional I am still dealing with them about that money not sure where my rights stand with this situation. They are the worst campany I ever delt with and will NOT do business with them ever again.

Deferred payments
Offered deferred payments by Citi Financial on car loan for 45 days, was not told once payments start again that I would only be paying interest and late fees. So time for paid off and I'm thinking wow one payment left of $363.06 I get a paid off of $2803.55 what the ***... I called to speak to someone and they tell me this crap that's it's all my principal and if I can't paid it off they can defer the payment again I offered to pay $2000.00 to get out of this loan and was told all or nothing. Has this happen to any one else.

Customer service
My name is Kevin J Massingill. Since Oct. 5, 2009. My wife and I have tried to pay our car payment over the phone. We would get a confermation number and told everything has gone through. We made several attempts several reps. same answer. My wife contacted her bank only to find out that her bank has no record of Citi Financial processing the payment. We had tried to set up our payment on auto pay. No luck. I have had no troubles in making a payment this way. Until Citi Financial Auto. It has been an uphill battle to get them to process our payment. My wife and I are trying to keep them from hurting our credit because of Citi Financial Auto. Kevin J Massingill

Dishonest practices
I'm sharing this story in the hopes that it might help someone else.<br />
my wife has what has been described as a financial addiction<br />
when she was laid off her job she needed to make a car payment at the end of the month, <br />
325.00 to be exact.<br />
unfortunately instead of being honest with me and saying that her unemployment checks <br />
had run out and that she needed help she discovers the cancer of payday loans! <br />
since she had not been able to find a job in the months time to pay back the first loan<br />
she goes and gets a second loan to pay for the first! and so on and so on! at one time she was trying to<br />
juggle 3 loans with the payments at different times of the month, the only way i learned about it<br />
was because her name was now on every single loan companies mailing list and they were flooding my mailbox<br />
with offers! when confronted she of course denied everything...so she starts stealing checks from the check book<br />
to make payments, her name is not on the acct to begin with! how can these companies cash my checks in the first place?<br />
to make a long story short by this time her credit is shot, she doesnt even qualify for a credit card, YET...because over time she made friends with one particular girl that bounced around from loan company to loan company and eventually ended up at citi financial she walked out of a citi financial office in Waco TX with an 18, 000 loan! she was denied a 500.00 loan the week before? yet citi financial thought she was a good loan risk? not only that she completely lied on the loan application<br />
concerning her collaterall! does not citi financial have to check that the applicant has these items to put up?<br />
citi financial gave an 18, 000 to a woman with NO-zero assets??? if they had done thier jobs and checked her application they would have denied this loan for bad credit score, so there you have it, how a 325.00 car payment turned into a 36, 000<br />
financial disaster AND a broken family, thank you citi financial not only have you ruined a womans life but helped destroy<br />

harassment
This is the worst company that I have EVER dealt with. Everyone knows how the times are rough, and to make my situation worse...I'm separated. I started getting behind on my payments after separating. I would always send some kind of payment EVERY month to show that I was still trying to pay something. They called me one day 8 times!! They love to call on Saturdays, starting at 8:00am! I told the man my situation and he said that they don't except partial payments. I told him that was refussal of payment, and that I couldn't pay any more than I was and that I was trying to get caught up. They throwed the scare tactic on me so I would post date 2 months worth of payments. They have called my friends, left notes in my door to call them. They are very rude. I have been in more than 1 screaming match with these people. I told them that if it came to choosing between paying my lights and feeding my son or making a payment to them that they would be screwed!! I still owe $13, 000 on a 2001 that has been nothing but trouble since I've had it. I am thinking of letting them come get it. What have I got to loose? They already harass the sh-- out of me anyway. I will NEVER deal with these people again!

Terrible Customer Service
I had a loan approved with the Linden, NJ branch but my experience with the Rep caused me to walk out on the loan closing. I thought I was buying a used car. The manager was sitting at her desk the whole time making collection calls.
The Rep was slow and mechanical and didn't have any paperwork ready. He made me wait while he verified information that he had for days before the closing. He took other customers while making me wait.
This was supposed ot be a loan closing but the loan papers were never printed. When I told him that I was leaving he said "ok".
They are always mailing out direct mail but I doubt they close any loans.

Ridiculous company
THESE PEOPLE ARE NUTS!!! They don't quit calling - It is August 21, and I AM PAID THROUGH OCTOBER!!! I've verified this and they gave me the info that their computers do not update until 9:00 - NOT MY PROBLEM - MY ACCOUNT IS UP TO DATE!!! These people are ridiculous - it is CitiFinancial financed through Ashley Furniture. I have made 9 FULL PAYMENTS IN SEVEN MONTHS - and they don't count them unless they land at their office during your new monthly billing cycle. A day to early and you are screwed. . . you will have to pay an additional payment for the next month. I pay my bills when they are arrive or when I sit down and think about it. I'm not on a budget, and I'm not counting pennies - I just make sure my accounts are paid. BOO FOR ME FOR MAKING TWO PAYMENTS IN A MONTH - I knew I was paying ahead and I sent in 40 less than my normal payment - I have no idea why - just an oversight. It cost me 40 to pay the 40 with a late fee. WTF??? When my business is done there will never be another dime given to Citi-ANYTHING!!!

Customer Service
This company has no Customer Service what so ever, I was unfortunate enough to have to move out of my home at short notice and find somewhere to stay, as it was not a permanent address I did not up date my account with citi. I continued to pay them the amount each month which was a set amount on the same date each month, well when i finally did change my address I found out that they work on a 23 day cycle os the payments had only been paying late fees for the three months. I explainied the situation but no one was interested and no one coulf help they said that i had to pay the outstanding balance and they could not waive any of the late fees, so i agreed to pay the late fees and brought my account up to date only to find out that they had changed my plan for 0% to 30% I called and was told that this cannot be changed back.
This company is not caring and does not want to help even if customers are willing to work with them. DO NOT USE THEM THEY WILL SCAM YOU AND THE STAFF ARE EXTREAMLY RUDE AND TREAT YOU LIKE A CRIMINAL.
Also the harrass you with constant phone calls sometimes 8 times a day.

Citi Financial is THE WORST company to ever do business with. the customer service is awful they are rude very disrespectful and have no type of business ethics. I had been having trouble paying my car payment on time and the customer service rep asked me could my father help me and I said my father had just passed away and he had the nerve to say well didnt he leave you with some money no im sorry to hear that and I didnt know he just came out with did he leave you with some money? I dont know who they got running that compabut when I am done paying mu car off im NEVER EVER dealing with that company again. I dont recommend that financial institution to anyone.

I try to make payment using the information above to my car loan, and am told there is no such account. I encounter this problem frequently. It gets frustrating and I give up and try another day--Same response. I do not want an automatic withdrawal because of the way I get paid and how my bills arrive in the month. Payment by phone is convenient for me. This way to pay with this company is rediculous.
