unauthorized charge
ii WAS WORKING ON A REFINANCE WITH CITI MORTGAGE. I WAS JUST TRYING TO SEE WHAT KIND OF DEAL I COULD GET FROM THEM AND I DECIDED NOT TO GO THROUGH THEM. I ALSO HAVE A CITI CREDIT CARD WHICH MYSTERIOUSLY SHOWED A APPLICATION FEE FOR 550.00 DOLLARS ON MY ACCOUNT. THIS WAS AN UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE. AND SINCE IT WAS THERE CREDIT CARD YOU CANT EVEN DISAPROVE WITH THE CHARGE. HAVE TRIED TO TALK TO THEM BUT ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS CHARGING PEOPLE FOR TALKING TO THEM.WHAT REALLY STINKS ABOUT THIS COMPANY IS THE FACT THAT THEY WERE BAILED OUT BY OUR GOVERNMENT IN THE BILLIONS AND ALL THEY CAN DO IS FIND UNDERHANDED WAYS TO CHEAT PEOPLE!

Ripoff Assholes
Citi Mortgage customer service is the worst in the world. You can be transfered to several different people and all are incompetent! After signing up for a loan modification to help us keep our home these Assholes ruined my credit! I had never been late with any of my accounts in the last 12 years and have made my test payments on time. I asked no less than four times if this would adversly affect my credit and was told no, it would show as credit neutral. What a bunch of liars!
So, I contested my credit report that was showing 90 days late and after talking to CITI they updated my account to 180 days late. These scammers have been putting me off for over six months now on my modification. I dont know if it s going to be approved or not. There is not one person at CITI that can tell me anything. I think they just make up a bunch of shit to tell people. Two people at CITI can not tell you the same thing. These CITI creeps were the first to ask for bailout money after their prediator lending practices almost bankrupted this country, now they will steal more from the country by collecting more loan fee's without actually helping anyone. What a despicable company! May CITI go under and all their exec's rot in hell!

Loan Modification Program - Lack of follow through
I have been working with CitiBank since January of 2010 to modify my loan. I have submitted my paperwork with them twice and we are now in April and have yet to get a response from them. I keep being told that all the paperwork is submitted and each representative keeps telling me to call back and that it will be going to the underwriter in 10 days. They also continue to tell me that they can't really do anything for me except to continue to call.

I called a manager today and her response was "I see that you have been calling, I also know that your documentation is complete, not sure what else I can do for you except to have you call again"

This has been a very frustrating process. CitiBank "tells you that if you submit all your paperwork it should only take about 30 days" I am not sure what the goverment is doing to ensure that Banks are actually following through. But they continue to delay and make up excuses while my family struggles on the other end.

modification loan program
Me TOO! Citi Mortage took me exactly the same way took over 7 months over 6000 back pay I was denied I am in a worse off position than before. They also lied to the credit bureau this should be illegal and stated I paid my mortgage late 3 times. Which not one payment ever sent was late. These people need to be stopped. Maybe not paying them will get their attention and then I will be approved for the modification.

I honestly feel like selling everything I own in this house and just leaving it it is not worth what I owe and it is falling apart let them get stuck with it. They will not be able to sell it.

I work so hard for me and my daughter and this is how my country pays us back no healthcare also scams, no college tuition we need to pay this (with some financial aid help but not enough). What we get is taxed more than any other country when you figure we pay taxes on the same money over and over again. and we get nothing in return.

What do we get for our tax dollars that we do pay not even safe travel.

Obama may have meant well but his modification bill put more people in worse off positions than they were before.
Sorry Obama but you failed here.

All we do in this country is worry about health care bills, college tuition, paying our mortgage, the crappy streets we have to drive on, you have to worry when you die. You can not even die in peace here with some dignity.

harassment calls
We have a mortgage that was with another mortgage company (Bank of america) that was bought by citi mortgage. We have a standing electronic withdrawl payment that is made every month on the 15th as per our agreement with citimortgage scinse my husband only gets paid once a month on the 15th.The cut off date for it being late is the 16th. EVERY MONTH from the 3rd to the 15th we get constant phone calls at all hours of the day and nite. We were assured by the company and many many supervisors we are in good standing and have NEVER been late on a payment. EVERY customer service rep that calls we explain this too they look it up and agree with us and say the calls will stop. 2 hours later someone else calls. Then after a great strugle to talk to a superviser (THEY NEVER WANT TO GET ONE) they agree and it still does not get fixed. THIS IS HARASMEBT> We are even sending a siece to comunicate letter though I douubt it will work. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it.

MODIFICATION / FORECLOSER
Citi foreclosed on my home due to their incompetence working my modification

I fell behind in my payments due to oral surgery, numerous car repairs, very high utilities bills, legal fees after divorce etc...

I called Hope and talked with a counselor James Wells who got all my info and sent off a hardship package to citi mortgage. James was sure that I qualified for the making home affordable program since my income is at 39% of my mortgage . I called Hope in the middle of April 2009.

I called Citi and asked them had they received my Hope package and I was told by the rep that a foreclosure date had already been scheduled for June 2.

The Citi rep on the phone told me that in his notes he sees that Marcus Byrant is assigned to my case and that he is sending him a email to get that date moved. The rep explained that it takes a while for the loan modifications to go through so moving the date was imperative to my case and that he has emailed folks before and they have moved the dates for the same reasons. He gave me Marcus Byrant telephone number and told me to talk with him as well. I called Marcus Byrant (301) 696-4831 several times I got no answer so I left several messages. I didn't receive any call backs from him. I gave him my email address, home and cell. Nothing was received. I talk with Kevin (866) 713-4785 and Ken (866) 272-4749 one of these Citi Reps sent off the email to Marcus Bryant.

I called Citi mortgage back about every other day or so. I was told to ask the
Citi reps to look at the DRI noting system to see what notes where added to my account so I could be informed on where my case was going. I received no calls no emails no mail from Citi.

I called on May 20 and the rep pull the notes up on their system and I was told that they are needing pay stubs from me to show my income. I faxed them to James Bryant like I was told on May 21 2009

I called Citi again and again to check the status. I was told that I had been approved for some kind of modification but all they were needing was my home value information. I offered to send what I had or to get that to them. I was told that they would need to obtain that info themselves.

On May 31 or June 1 I called to see what was happening the Citi rep Ashley Tarron (866) 272-4749 her rep number is 34236 told me that was my home was still up for foreclosure on June 2. I was SHOCKED. She placed me on hold and got with her manager and she said that she saw notes that I was approved for some type of modification on May 13 but the property value info still had not come in yet but her manager was indeed moving the date of foreclosure to make time to get the needed information they were waiting for to get my new payment amount.

In the meantime, I am still waiting on modification information and finally on June 23 I get a letter from Citi letting me know that my file was forwarded to the loss mitigation team. See attachment

I also get a yellow envelope that has a card noted 6-23-09 to call Citi mortgage. see attachment

I call the number 866-940-5787 and the message says " If you are calling about the status of request for mortgage assistance the review process will take approximately 30day's. sign in to your account at Citimorgage.com for status update

I go on line and I can't access my account so a number pops up for me to call.

The rep tells me that my home was sold for foreclosure on June 2!!! I lost it asking why and what because I am getting information from rep after rep, I got this letter dated June 19 saying that my modification was being worked.

The rep told me that the date was never moved, then more excuses: they had received a incomplete package from Hope James Wells. They hadn't received the property value information they had requested. I informed her that the date should have been move long before and they where responsible for the property info.

She told me that since I leave in Texas that I couldn't do any thing about the house being sold and that a eviction letter was mailed out on June 26. I got it on June 29. see attachment

I called back on Sat June 27, I spoke to a rep and asked her who bought the house, she explained that couldn't find that info and that since she was in Loss Mitigation that there is nothing she can do for me and gave me yet another number to call for REO (800) 392 7906. I left a message no phone call has been returned.

I got 3 days the letter says. Citimortgage inc. has purchased the house now. I have no where to go!

escrow review
I have been trying to get my escrow reviewed now since Monday the 18th of May. I have called the so called customer service dept. on several occasions and continually get the run araound. I have been told they lost papaer work or that I never sent them anything. After I told them I had the fax confirmation they told me there was no need to resend that they would call my couty apraisal office and get the info for them selves. On the next call I was told that I could not speak to directly to the escrow office and that an urgent help ticket would be opened to get this resolved. I called again to check status I was transferred to the escrow office that doesn't take calls. HMMM. They are now telling me that no information will be available until June 2nd. Which happens to be after my house payment is due. Convenient isn't it?? At the end of all three call with them knowing that I am already agry they feal it apropriate to offer me a credit card. Seriously they can't even keep my mortgage accurate and they want me to give them more of my money. Not to mention the money doesn't even stay in the US anyway. These peaople need to be shut down due to a complete lack of competence.

Harassment
I have had a Citi Mortgage for over 4 years. The terms of my mortgage give me a fifteen day grace period to make my payment without a penalty. The day after the scheduled due date, I start receiving two to six phone calls a day telling me my payment is late and they want to talk to me. When I talk to them, they are very abusive saying "Your Payment Is Late", when in fact I am still within my fifteen day grace period. The phone calls persist every day, including Saturdays two to six times a day starting as early as 8am. Once my payment is made by telephone, the calls continue for days.

If I had known this abuse would happen, I would never have done business with them. My other home loan company has NEVER called me when my payment is made within the fifteen day grace period, as it should be.

My advice: DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH CITI BANK!

Very rude!
The people who work for Citi are nasty and very rude to deal with. I am doing everything in my power to get out of that bank. I feel they are way too big and don't need to be polite to the people who feed them. They constantly call me several times a day whether I'm late or not. They are relentless in getting their money. When I have called, I usually get someone who cannot speak the "English" language. They ought to be glad people are struggling to feed their faces. I'm out of their "SOON"!!!

Refinance
I started my refinance at the beginning of Dec. Citi charged my Credit Card on 12/16 for $480.00 to lock rates after a pre-approval. We keep getting the run-around every time our file goes to underwriting with not being able to close because they need to have someone inspect something or something else needs fixed or they need some other Document! In other words I have good credit but they keep stalling for more time! They have made me feel like I live in a dump and have ruined the Holidays and here we are passed Valentines Day and I still have no answers...however they have my money! They are making us fix things that were fine when we bought the house 6 years ago. Sometimes we have gone weeks without having emails answered or any phone calls and in the mean times I have spent thousands on the house trying to please them and it is all for nothing.
