Approved loan, cash not received
I had applied for a top-up personal loan against my existing personal loan. I gave all the required documents and the processing was done. I received a call from the personal loan verification department on Friday (06/07/07) stating that my loan has been approved and I have to pay an EMI of 1909/- on the 1st of every month starting from August, and that my amount will be credited in my bank account by Monday (09/07/07), but it has not been done till date. I called citibank customer care and after me calling them for more than 20 times, I came in contact with a person who wanted me to contact personal loan department in Hyderabad and gave me phone numbers (040-66462682 & 040-66462674) and told me to contact person named Gopal. I called to the given number multiple times, but no one was lifting the call.

I am very frustrated with what is going on because i don't know the status of the loan and I will have to pay the EMI on date.

Frequent calls even after I have refused!
There have been frequent calls from 9144-43960700. Somebody who calls himself Bala has been calling me for the past 1 week even after I've refused the offer. Nowadays he justs gives me missed calls to pester me.

Citibank is absolutely terrible!
This is just to inform you of my customer experience with Citibank. There customer service is absolutely rude and they steal money from you informing you that you never made a payment. I have never experienced anything in my entire life, with a credit card service like Citibank. They are absolutely terrible and I hope their ratings go down.

Foreclosure of the personal loan
This is related to a loan acquired by me from CITIBANK on 30 Aug 2005, and the first EMI was Debited sep 2005,I had asked for the foreclosure and gave you a months notice on 12 Feb 07 and called you on 22 March 07 for the O/S informed 31,503.26 /- and i had a DD made for the same amount and gave the request for the pickup as informed by CALL CENTER AGENT but it was not picked.

I HAVE SPOKEN TO ONE OF THE AGENTS TODAY AND SHE HAS GIVEN ME THE AGENCY'S NO 66525189-66525168 AND TOLD ME TO RING THEM AND GET THE PAYMENT PICKED.

I HAD CALLED THEM MANY TIMES AND GETTING HARASSED BY FALSE PROMISES BY CITIBANK AGENTS.

Stolen card misuse and inefficient security
This is to inform all credit card victims of India , CITIBANK chennai sends me a renewal card in the month of march 07 to my old address and this card has been sent by ORDINARY POST not even by regd post nor courier, gets delivered in the post box outside my old home and stolen by some fraudster and this idiot misuses it to the tune of Rs60,000.Now the bank without giving a patient listening are forcing me to pay the full amount which I have not used. I have a filed an FIR [here POLICE refuses to entertain the complaint as Indian Police are not trained nor equipped to handle credit card fraud]with great deal of convincing I manage to file FIR and send all the details to CITIBANK chennai. The investigation was half done by me alone and gave leads to Police and CITIBANK Anti Fraud Unit. The investigation is on. I have filed my complaint with RBI too.Anyone who has come across such a case and how CAN I SAVE MYSELF FROM THIS FRAUD AND INEFFICIENT BANK SERVICE.

Annoying daily calls!
They Call almost daily. I hang up on them when I hear who it is but they call back the next day. The last # was 800-280-7635.

The worst credit card company I've ever dealt with!
Okay, I had a Citibank Credit Card a couple years ago. I was behind on all of my credit cards at one time. I came into some money and called all my credit cards and wanted the payoffs for them.

All my credit cards sent me statement and I sent them the payment in...no problem...BUT CITIBANK. I sent them the payment with the statement they sent me, but about 6 months later they sent me a statement that I owed them $500. I called them to see if maybe something got messed up with my payment. The RUDE rep stated that I had agreed to a payoff with the representative, I spoke to over 6 months ago. I stated, NO, I just asked for a payoff statement be mailed to me. The RUDE rep that I spoke to this time, was not helpful and did not want to help me at all. I asked the rep to send me a copy of my statement that I mailed with my check and they said FLAT OUT NO!! I asked to speak to a supervisor and that person was even ruder than the other. Basically, they will not send me a copy of the statement that I mailed with my payment to prove the total amount in the payoff. Unfortunately I didn't make a copy of my statement, but I made a copy of my check...dumb on my part. Now over the years Citibank has sent the bill to a collector and has kept increasing the amount of the money due, apparently adding interest. It's about over $3000.00 now. WOW!!! I never created an account online with my credit card, so I can't go online to get a copy of my statement either. I even worked with one of the collectors to see if she can work with Citibank to resolve this issue, but they won't work with her either. No statement will be mailed to anyone to prove the amount on the statement. I have written letters to the company and the President with no responses. The worst credit card company I've ever dealt with.

No charges return
I regret to inform you that your department is charging interest, Late Payment fee, and the Service charges since last March 2006 on an amount which I have no concern or liable to pay.

I or my son had never applied for the loan. In the past I had received one call for pre-approved loan, which I had never applied. I had asked the concern officer to provide me details. Instead of providing me details you have send me the cheque, which was returned by me at your Kolkata branch. You have returned the cheque but not the charges.

When you are providing a Loan to a person, he must be given full details of the loan. Before it is sent to the person. Without giving any details how you can send the loan amount.

My son has met your office many times and he was assured that the entire amount charged by you, will be reversed. But till writing of this letter you are charging my account as usual.

I request you to withdraw your charges immediately as neither you had paid any amount nor I had received the same or ordered.
