Credit card
Hi,
I am getting call from citibank recovery team from delhi, faridabad.
The people got my number and my father who is of age 69, they started harassing my father and me.
Sometimes I got call from one recovery team and sometimes from another team located in NCR.
I donot have any relation with citibank.
Neither I purchased any credit card.
Please look into this matter seriously.

Overcharged
Ahhh, where to begin? I have been a Citibank customer for more years than I can remember. I called CITIBANK to close my bank account because they had recently acquired CAL-FED, and my "free" checking account suddenly had fees-for-nothing. Since there are many places that offer free checking, I closed my account, or so I believed. I suddenly received a statement in the mail for negative $9.50 for their October service charge! I was stunned because it was my belief the account was closed! I called to complain and they refused to reverse the charge because the account wasn't closed! I explained it was THEIR FAULT that it wasn't closed, but they *still* refused to reverse the charge. In fact they had already added the monthly service charge for November and I was nearly $20 in the red! I know it's not a lot of money, but it's the fringing point! They still refuse to reverse the charge and I refuse to pay. I guess they will now wreck my credit but it's the principle of the matter.
Be aware of CITIBANK - they are *only* out to make money and are not interested in customer relations.

Citibanks Error pushesd acct. into Default Status
I experienced a similar situation where I made an early payment that did not post to the correct billing cycle. Despite numerous phone calls to insure that the payment was applied/posted correctly. CS Reps. did not record any phone calls or request.
The two payments were posted to the same billing cycle - SURPLUS. It was not posted to the correct month and this critical oversight subsequently pushed my account into default status, incurred late fees, the APR went from 14.24% up to 29% and continue to escalate for (2) months because that’s how long it took Citibank to accurately review the account. During those 2 billing cycles my monthly payments doubled for a total of $1, 959 and I paid each one - hoping for immediate resolution. They took my money too!
After countless e-mail’s and phone calls I finally spoke to a CS Manager that recognized the critical error within in 2 minutes flat. Two minutes! He escalated the issue to the appropriate authorities – nothing was resolved. After repeated complaints to S. Larson Citicards/Citibank reluctantly posted credits and made one adjustment and I did not need to make an August payment. of August and now they want another $687.41 for September. They are thieves!

False Collections
My Mother had over 10 credit accounts with Citibank, I was on one account. My Mother passed away and I acted as her Excutator. I contacted Citibank and provide them with 15 copies of her death certificate and they said they close all her accounts andwould consoladate any outstanding debt and send it to me for payment. What they did was keep several accounts active charging $12.00 a month for the service. For months I was on the telephone with Citibank about this. Finally I find out that Citibank closed all my mothers accounts, put them into collections and put it on my credit report.
When I contacted Citibank about this their Collections Department could not find anything and referred me to their dispute department. I am still waiting for them to respond to my inquiries.

Unwanted Credit Card & Legal Threat
It all started with a purchase at Shopper's Stop, City Centre, Saltlake, Kolkata, India. I was offered a "Green Card" for which a form had to be signed by me, just for the sake of formality. However, at that point of time, no mention was made regarding any application (for credit card or insurance policy).
Later, an unknown call from Chennai, India, offered me a huge sum which, they claimed, I am the WINNER of some lucky draw (without any participation whatsoever) - however, I denied that amount.
After this, I received a CitiBank credit card along with a thanksgiving letter for initiating some "Goodhealth Insurance Poilcy". I was rather baffled. I did not ask for, or give consent to any policy, nor did I ask them to issue any credit card.
It was soon followed by funny bills - stating that I am supposed to pay CitiBank the amount within a stipulated time, or else I am liable to pay fines and late fees.
I complained to them, informing that I never applied for a credit card or health insurance policy - requesting them to investigate the matter and stop harassing me with threatening phone calls any further.
I sent them back the unused CitiBank credit card, duly destroyed, with a letter requesting them to close this illicit account they created in my name, without my signature, documents, or my consent.
They acknowledged the letter, and it told soon they are beginning an investigation.
Then one day, a person came from the Camac Street (Kolkata) Citi Bank, to my residence to collect the "due payments" from me. I told him the real story - and he seemed to be convinced enough to take actions.
However, telephone threats and bill dues kept on coming. Despite my complaint to both Kolkata and Chennai branches, no step was taken to end this. They are now trying to scare me with Legal Threats.
Few days back I received a letter from an advocate, Lopamudra Sur of Dasgupta & Associates, Temple Chambers, Kolkata - threatening me to pay the (un)due amount within 10 days, or else they would initiate legal proceedings – that too, at my cost!!
Please help me out of this mess.

failure of services and profesionalism
CITIbank abudhabi has not been able to redeem my funds from investment and credit to my account with other bank for last more than a month.
one mr rajeev warier is instrumental in delaying this because i boked investmnet with another agency and there was an incentive tot he investors whic h i lost. i also lost my sleep over month of chasing rajeev warier morning noon evenings almost daily to do this transaction before 28 July 09 and also informed to the branch manager but they didnt do any thing in one month time from 3rd july until today. i lost face in the investamnet arena and some adavance to book the investmnet .
in citbank abudhabi relationship manager will not answer your phone . will not pay attention to sms or voice recorded mesages left on desk phone . will not recieve faxes sent with Ok delivery reports from fax machnies .etc this puting the client to big mental harrasmnet, financial losses, loss of reputation and loss of efforts of chasing the relationship cowboy for a month .

increase in interest rates
Have had a Citibank credit card since 1997 with a credit limit of $25, 000: notice came in Dec of 2008 that my interest rate was being raised from 9.99 % to 14.99 %, then on July 20th, received a notice that my rate was being raised again to 29.99%. I keep a balance, but have never been late, etc. I have called Citibank and opted out. I have called the Clark Howard show, got a few tips from them, have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, have notified my United States Senators and Representatives have called Citibank bank back and tried to work out something with them, but just got the run-a round. I have a good credit score, so will keep a check on it to see if this affects me.

My name is Rajesh Aier .Yesterday at 5.00 in evening I was standing in line for access atm in vakola one man standing behind suddenly entered inside the atm room before me and when i asked security to tell him to come out, than on contrary security is telling me that you should have look about your turn and was rude to me and even that man fight with me and abused me still security did not say anything to that man ..the security officer name was MR. Kurmi . You tell me when security is not interfering the matter than whom should we approach that time if he is not ready to help the customers why is he made stand outside atm location if he does not knows his responsibility or I feel personally he is not liable for that job. Being a Respected Company like Citibank should not hire this kind of people who will spoil the name and reputation of your Respected Company

Home Depot Credit Card
I am in receipt of your statement in the amount of $5116.87. The last payment was made on December 23, 2008 in the amount of $119.00 as required by Citibank. On January 17, 2009, I received a statement stating that I would need to pay $386.00 for that months payment. All of a sudden interest was raised, and my payment was beyond my means. At that time, I spoke with collections who informed me that if I made my payment for $119 (as previously advised) my account would be up to date. I called back again January 26, 2009, and was advised they could not locate my account. As I was aware this account was still active, I was transferred to several people who were unable to help me. Again, I did this in February 2009, where I was told NOW the account went to collections. I have contacted Citibank several times regarding this matter and have received no resolution.
My original card was any purchase over $299 was interest/payment is deferred for 6 months. I am still waiting for the letter from Home Depot or where they added the "new purchase" and I was advised that the "new purchase" was not part of the deferred interest/payment plan. All payments were made toward the account, but it was then prorated to both the initial purchase and the "new purchase". With that system of accounting, you can NEVER pay off the "new purchase" in full without paying the entire account in full. This too was not stipulated and I was told differently EVERY time I called.
Further, there are STILL several charges that were never taken off my credit card statement. After several months of having problems with a swing and a sliding glass door, both which were promised to be refunded, I still cant get home depot to give me the credit promised by the store manager.
Its now affecting ALL of my credit and I cant contact CITI because its been sent to collections.
