G. Stevens
Citicard Card Services, this company has their hands in eveyones pockets. They say the sent very important letter that effect peoples lives, but they have no traceability these very important letter reach there destinations. If you don't receive one, they make it completely your responsability. The responsability belongs to CitiCards. They have a name of a G. Stevens on all communications, but when you call he doesn't exeist and no can even give you he corperate US mailing address for him. I would like Mr. G. Stevens to personally call me on the phone number above, but he won't so this challange will never be taken.

False information from CSR to make customer to make payment twice
I have recently called Customer Service and received a false information that the payment of 504.27 had not been made. However, Citicard already took the money from my bank account (from statement). I have to end up to pay extra 484.27 because he said Citibank only got $20 from my auto payment! Now they are unable to cancel the transaction.

Customer service unresponsive
Citicard customer service seems incapable of addressing a legitimate (and potentially serious) problem with the Citicard (described below), or of communicating logically with me. Here is a copy of our correspondence:
Me: I received my new Citicard in the mail, and had no chance to activate it before my travels began outside the United States. I am currently in another country.
On the front of the new card, there is a message which reads: "Outside the US or Canada call collect 301-797-2328". When I tried to call that number collect I was told by three different operators (Country X, Verizon, ATT) that collect calls were blocked to that number. I then tried calling the general service number for the card (shown on the card and on this web site --" Outside the U.S. Call Collect 605-335-2222 "), but was told by the same three operators that collect calls were also blocked to that number.
So now I am surprised, confused, and have also wasted 30 minutes of my time trying to call and also writing you now. Can you please clarify what is going on here and how I can finally activate the card? I would like to use it during my trip.
Citicard:When calling our collect phone numbers please be sure to put a 1 in front of the area code. The phone number you would use is 1-605-335-2222.
Me: Thank you for your advice, but very certainly I have used "1" for the country code. In fact, all calls have been checked by operators working with [country X local], Verizon, and ATT. In every case I am told the same thing by the operators -- that the numbers are "blocked" from receiving collect calls. Can you let me know what to do next?
Citicard: Since you are calling from [country X] please try [country X local access code]-1-605-335-2222. We have tested the phone number and it does appear to be working. Adding the [country X local access code]is the country code for the United States from [country X].
Me: The dialing code you gave me (starting with XXX) is indeed a valid number which CAN be dialed from [country X], but it is the direct number, meaning I will have to pay for the international call myself. However, the instructions on both the sticker and on the card explain I can call those numbers collect from overseas. Is there another number I can call for which collect calls are not blocked?
Citicard: You must dial for an operator and have then dial the collect call for you.
Me: Unfortunately, we're not communicating correctly here. In your last email, you told me I must dial for an operator and then they will dial complete the collect call for me. But that is exactly what I tried to do, through three different carriers (Verizon, ATT, and country X). In all three cases the operator informed me that making a collect call is impossible because those specific numbers are blocked from doing so. Clearly something is wrong with the system and I would like to ask you for your help in solving the problem. This is NOT a question of how I am dialing the call; it is a matter of the way you have configured the numbers at your end so that collect calls are impossible to make.

Fraud
CitiCard has ruled against me in a dispute with an on-line vendor who has overcharged me on a product. I advised the vendor I would not accept the product because of their disreputable handling of the account. They admitted they still had the product and would not ship it.
I disputed the charge with CitiCard. They ruled FOR the vendor and gave them $2200. I was incredulous. Citicard would not allow me to take the dispute to anyone else at Citicard. They said Mastercard corporation had made the decision. Mastercard advised me by telephone they did not rule in disputes and that CitiCard had made the decision.
Citicard reported my account as past due to the credit bureaus. I am now fighting them on several levels.
THESE PEOPLE ARE EITHER DISHONEST OR SO DISORGANIZED THEY DON'T KNOW THEIR A***s FROM HOLES IN THE GROUND.

Fraud Processing
In August, I noticed a $361.00 charge on my account that I did not make. I had been at the Merchant during the time the transaction was made, but I didn't make it. I immediately called CitiCard to report the activity as fraud and have them reissue my card. They started and investigation and received a package of information from the merchant. The package included copies of 2 sales receipts. I am not disputing one of the charges which clearly have my signature on the receipt. However, the second does not. The name signed isn't even my name. CitiCard sent me a letter stating they needed more detail to why I'm disputing the charge ... more than the fact that I've already told them that I didn't make it and it has a different name on the credit card slip. The letter they sent stated they needed a reply by 11/20. I wasn't able to reply until 11/21. They're now telling me that since I didn't respond by 11/20 they have closed the case and I'm liable for the charge. I can't believe what the fraud representative told me ... btw she also said that signatures on sales slips aren't required or used. I'm still going to fight this since per reading the FTCs website which states ...
Reporting Losses and Fraud
By law, once you report the loss or theft, you have no further responsibility for unauthorized charges. In any event, your maximum liability under federal law is $50 per card.

excessive charges and no answers
Back in March of this year, I had a $59 payment due to CitiCard. I paid it one day late. I was charged excessive fees and then owed $250+. I visited their web site and asked why and was told that after the payment was late you are charged an additional 1/48 of your balance. My balance was a little less than $2000, so I informed them of that. They told me that there were other extra charges. I tried to find out what they were and they told me they were in the user agreement. I said, "Where are the fees that pertain to these charges in the user agreement?" They couldn't and wouldn't answer. I haven't paid it since March and have turned the card over to a debt settlement agency, so CitiCard turned the debt over to a law office who is demanding I pay $3, 062. Crooks!

Bad service
I was scammed by Cambridge Who's Who and shortly thereafter I did some research and confirmed it. I called Citibank immediately to cancel the charge and dispute it. They gave me a conditional credit for this charge. Two months later, the charge has been reversed in favor of the scammer company despite my attempts to contact them with no response regarding this charge. Citibank does not offer any buyer protection at all and I'm canceling this card after I get the final statement! They can kiss my business goodbye!

CitiCard Calls
Number 816-420-1002 will continuously call even before 9am EST and when I answer the call all I get is a few strange beeping sounds and then the call hangs up. If I let it go to voicemail I get the same strange sounds and then it hangs up. Not once does the number identify itself or the reason it is calling and upon calling the phone number back it takes me to a CitiCard number.

Fraud and cheating!
1. Notice that even if you EFT payments on the day they're due, Citicard won't post it until after the due date, then charge you, not one, but TWO month's finance charges.
2. If you use a lower-rate check (or other transfer deal), with no payments until a certain date... then make a payment on your credit card balance, they apply your payment to the lower-rate balance first and charge you a finance charge on the charges you were trying to pay off.
Yes, off course all this is in the fine-print. Nice! Not the kind of company I'd recommend doing business with.
