Terrible experience
We purchased two types of flooring from Floors 4 U in Johnson City, TN, one in March, and one in April.
The March promo was March 8 throu 3/8/09. One year interest free. Total bal. due $l837.10. The second promo on laminate we purchased thru the same company was for 48 months beginning on 4/2/08. I HAVE REPEATEDLY SENT PAYMENTS ON THE FIRST PROMO ONLY TO HAVE THEM APPLIED TO THE 48 MONTH PROMO RATHER THAN THE YEAR PROMO. I AM TRYING TO GET THE FIRST PROMO PAID WITHIN THE YEAR BUT AT THIS RATE IT WILL NOT GET PAID SINCE PAYMENTS ARE CONTINUALLY PLACED ON THE 48 MONTH PROMO. I HAVE CALLED EACH MONTH TO HAVE THE PAYMENTS REALLOCATED BUT WHEN I STATE WITH MY CHECK AND STATEMENT I WANT THIS PAYMENT PLACED ON THE YEAR PROMO IT SHOULD GO THERE AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CALL EACH MONTH FOR THIS TO HAPPEN.

They keep charging once you pay your full bill
Paid my balance off, confirmed with the person on the phone that I paid off the bill - next thing I know I'm getting a bill still. Their customer service ***, I had asked to speak to a manager and I was transferred about 7 times which all went to voicemail. And when I did speak to a manager they gave me a dispute number. Forgot to tell me it is a Fax line. Hmm, like they are trying to dodge the bullet. They need to be sued. Anyone else having issues with how they do things? Bunch of rip off and rude customer services.

They charge 15.00 to pay online or by phone
Why the *** are they charging me. Does it not help them to process the payment electronically??
Am I stupid? I should send them a check in a 4foot by 6 foot crate so they have to throw away the rubbish. If we all sent them checks in crates they would change their tune. We get handed this loan, whether we like it or not because we are made out to be underdogs by the car dealers. Bad credit ratings etc etc. Fact is all the bloodsucking American corporations don't give a small damm about all us underdog working slobs that keep them where they are. *** them send then a 4 foot by 6foot crate with the check inside and watch them squirm for a change. You know what they steal from my family $15.00 each time I pay the lousy loan 72 times over the life of the loan equals another $1080 for the ceos *** fund.

Forgery of Signature
I went into the Fullerton branch to refinance my loan. By an error on my part, I did not have all the documentation I needed and had to reschedule the meeting for a later date. I DID NOT SIGN ANYTHING - NOR DID I GIVE AUTHORIZATION FO FOR ANYTHING. When I returned to work, I was notified by my payroll department that a representative from CitiFinancial had FORGED my signature on a "Verification of Employment" form. This is a legal document that requests personal payroll information. The signature looks NOTHING like mine, and when I contacted the branch to dispute their actions - they all but called me a LIAR! I HAVE SINCE CONTACTED THE SUPERVISORY CITIFINANCIAL OFFICES.

That is a scam
Financed Furniture bought at Haverty's through Citifinancial. However, they didn't mail a statement until the 1st bill was late so they charged a $39 late fee and finance charge, after we went to Haverty's and told them we haven't got a bill yet- they said don't worry- you will!! Yes- we did FINALLY- What a great deal- it was suppose to be no interest until 2011- so much for that. Charged a late fee before we even get a statement- I say that is a scam. Don't fall for it- they waste no time screwing it up so you will pay interest, like not mailing the statement until the payment is late.

This is a copy of a letter I faxed to CitiFinancial on 5/5/08:

CitiFinancial Mortgage
Sir/Madam:
The CitiFinancial phone representative I spoke with two weeks ago suggested that I send an explanatory fax to the CitiFinancial Research Dept. I am doing so in the hopes that this payment problem can be resolved. I had previously faxed a similar packet such as this to CitiFinancial on 4/2/08, to a number given to me by a CitiFinancial phone rep, only to learn later that the fax was never received. Read this carefully and completely please. And then do give me the courtesy of acknowledging by phone or e-mail that you have received this fax.
The background of this issue is as follows:
As you can examine from our payment history, we usually send you two checks to cover the monthly payment (usually $3688.82), one from myself and one written by my wife, Susan, $2360 and $1360 respectively. See Exhibit A attached which is a copy from our payment history from the CitiFinancial website to see that this is the case, e.g. posts of 5/02/08, 3/31/08, 12/31/07, 12/05/07, 10/27/07, etc.
With our return portion of the statement dated 1/12/08, we sent two checks as always (my check #398 and my wife’s check #1991). However, on the 2/9/08 statement (Exhibit B attached), it showed a payment due of $7377.64. It showed a payment received of $2360 (my check #398; also shown as cashed on 2/4/08 on my checking account transaction history, see Exhibit C). My wife’s payment is not shown on the CitiFinancial statement at all. I immediately phoned CitiFinancial that day and asked what was going on. The rep said that my wife’s check probably got lost at CitiFinancial and could have been shredded.
I then wrote a letter to CitiFinancial dated 2/23/08 explaining the situation (see attached Exhibit D). I stated that with our 2/9/08 payment stub we would send checks of $2360 and $2720 in order to cover the lost check for the previous statement and to cover the next payment. You can see that you received the checks in our payment history (Exhibit A, posted 2/26/08). I also instructed CitiFinancial not to cash check #1991 should they find it. We thought that would be the end of it.
Much to our dismay, on the 3/12/08 statement (see attached Exhibit E), it still showed a payment due of $7377.64 and showed no payments posted, even though the payment history shows them posted on 2/26/08. I called CitiFinancial again but got an incompetent representative who could not understand the situation, much less resolve it.
My wife and I were doubly disturbed when she got her checking account statement, and it showed that check #1991 was in fact cashed on 2/5/08 by CitiFinancial (see attached cancelled check #1991, Exhibit F).
Ever since the 2/9/08 statement, we have been getting harassing letters and phone calls from CitiFinancial Collections reps, asking us to resolve our delinquent account. Our account has never been delinquent. We went out of way to try to remediate the situation by sending you extra money in February to make up the deficit. CitiFinancial has been negligent in crediting our account with payments that they have received.
Basically, CitiFinancial now has an additional payment of $1360 which we had remitted in good faith because we thought CitiFinancial had lost check #1991.
We want:
1. a refund of the extra $1360 payment that CitiFinancial now holds
2. a waiver of any late fees or penalties imposed on our account
3. Cessation of nuisance form letters & phone calls from the Collections Dept
4. Revocation of any reports of bad credit issued to any of the major credit reporting services
If CitiFinancial wishes to contact me, I can be reached at 415-XXX-XXXX (c). I would appreciate at least an acknowledgment of receipt of this fax.

No response from them
Have tried to contact citifinancial for almost a week w/o getting through on their 1800phone number.
I have email access too, but no response to questions to my email address.
I guess I will have to send payments by post office overnight...? What is going on???? Not a happy customer and this is just the tip of the iceberg with Citifinancial Mortgage. We have other issues too.
Does anyone at Citifinancial really know anything?
I have concern for anyone wanting to finance with this corporation. If I hear from them today, or can get through to a representative, I will gladly change my remarks. Thanks

mortgage payment
have mortgage payment due on the 20th of month with 10 day grace period. When I pay payment on the 20th they only pay $78.00 on the principle the balance of$672.00 on the interest. How can that be possible when I pay when it is due? If anyone out there can help me understand why I could use some help.

Harassing calls
Citifinancial Retail Services since April the 7th have called my office 31 times with some calls being two minutes apart on an account that was only 14 days past due. According to their staff member who would only identify himself as Ken ID# 6485 who stated "WE WILL CALL YOU AS OFTEN AS WE LIKE EVERY DAY". I urge all consumers who are in the same position to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission for violation of section 616 and 617. This is totally un-acceptable as that feel that can harass anyone at anytime of the day. There defence has been that we do not have record of the calls however I kept a log and urge all to do the same. Their staff is arrogant and extremely rude sometimes hanging up on me when I question them as to the amount of calls made daily. The female staff members who are black in most cases that I have dealt with are very smart and combative.
