insurance payments
i am having so many problems getting my insurance check to do repairs on my home after hurricane IKE that i would never recommend citimortgage to anyone trying to get a home financed. i am going to write the city houston chronicle newspaper to do a story of what i have gone through and is still in the process of going though to get my check released to pay my contractor. i have done work to my home and paid for it out of personal funds (bills money and borrowing it from family and friends) and cannot get money released to reinburse theses people. I have done everything asked of the mortgage company and still everytime i get a different story of why its going to take longer to get money released and this process have ruined the little credit i had and have totally destroyed my life. my next step is to get a lawyer to get my funds released and not recommend this company to anyone. i hope when they close FEMA they next take steps to close CITIMORTGAGE. I am going to write everyone i can think of to get this story out.

Awful company
I am also extremely upset with Citimortgage and would like a class action suite filed. I had the workable solution paperwork filled out for help on a short sale for my home. I had a buyer since April 2008. They would never return phone calls from my lawyer. My lawyer contacted their lawyer and their lawyers couldn't even get a response back from them. My loan was in the HUD department. I could only get to someone in regular loans. I kept getting the run around and different phone numbers to call. My house ended up foreclosing in August of 2008. I found this out about when I called the mortgage company trying to get to the correct department for request on answer of our short sale offer (I didn't believe my lawyer when he said that he couldn't get through to them so I started calling myself). I was then told that my file didn't exist and that it looked like it had been foreclosed on. They couldn't give me any more info because that department didn't handle HUD loans. Their lawyers attempted to contact them via email and by phone several times. They wouldn't even respond to their own lawyers who were encouraging them to except the short sale offer. They wouldn't give them power of attorney to except any offers either. I don't understand how they can get away with all of this. I thought I was doing the right thing by trying to sell my home. Our buyers even had more than half in cash. It just doesn't make sense.

no english unfair tatics!
Where do you start with this place? Two years ago I took out a
fixed rate mort. with a local company they sold it to citimort.
and my headaches began I have been through trying to understand the employees. Loss litigations you name it all to no avail they do not write anything in their computer when they tell you something. My mort. payment went from 710.00 a mo. to 850.00 with no explaination we finally are so fed up we put the house on the market now they tell me they will defer payments until the sale except the girl that told me that never wrote it down and I did get one wonderful girl Nicole who appeared to want to help she found the first girl but she is in Costa Rico my house is in TN gee don't get that! but she said "I'll call you as soon as I reach her and settle this" well it's 3 weeks now so I call today to speak to cust. service my payment is behind so I can't talk to anyone but collections they will not transfer or help you with another number the girl I spoke to would only tell me her name was Heather she got VERY rude and hung up on me well I'm about to loose my house and she hung up on me! This company is by far the worst I have ever seen. I can't get another mortgage because they didn't defer they marked me late and now my credit is bad. So I guess real soon we will be living in my car. and Citimortgage will have my house.

Absolutely no customer service available!
Unbeleivably frustrated with CitiMortgage and want to complain...anyone know the federal agency to direct our complaints?
How can we implement a tax exemption award if CitiMortgage (INDIA) refuses to take responsibility and handle our request.
My husband is 100% Disabled Veteran and was qualified by the state of PA and the City and County of Philadelphia for retroactive realestate tax exemption (back to Sept 07), but we can't get the tax department at CitiMortgage to talk with us to reduce the Monthly payment and have our '09 escrow tax refunded. Please advise...

Very incompetent
I have been trying to get Citimortgage to correct my credit report for FIVE YEARS now!!
It is incorrectly reported on my credit report that my house is foreclosed with a zero balance with no payment received since 2003. Yet, I AM making my monthly payment of $1260.00.
I have repeatedly faxed them copies of my credit report and proof of payments. This has been disputed for numerous times and each time they tell me that it will be corrected and it has not been yet. When I call they act like it's no big deal and usually the customer service rep hangs up on me.
How can I receive a monthly statement with all the correct information on it but they can't report the same information. I spoke to a manager today who said that by looking at my file Citimortgage has not even reported to the credit agencies since 2006 regarding my account. Citimortgage is a joke...

Fraud and scam
CitiMortgage is very slyly skimming interest from it's customers by signing them up for bi-weekly payments. They draft your account every other week, but they only post it to your mortgage monthly. That means you are paying interest on money in their account! They do make the yearly extra payment toward your principle (26 bi-weekly payments equals 13 'monthly' payments per year). That does help in paying off the loan sooner. But, if posted as received, and required by law, you would save many thousands of more dollars in interest. Most people don't know they are being ripped off.
CitiMortage Biweekly Advantage works toward their advantage. Can you imagine how many millions of consumer dollars they keep on account by delaying the payments? I feel real stupid for letting them trick me. I double checked my accounts after 3 months of the Advantage and discovered their game.

poor customer service
On March 8, 2008 2 trees hit my home. Citibank is holding the funds from the insurance co. to fix our home. Getting them to release funds to do the repairs is time consuming and frustrating. Every time I need a check to pay a contractor it takes weeks to get funds, I was told it takes 3 - 5 business days, but that is not what has happened.
First, I was told to fax computer generated receipts from the contractor stating they were paid, I did that, still no check. Then I was told to fax the cancelled checks, I did that, still no check. Then, they wanted to see the cancelled checks from our public adjuster, I did that, still no check. Then, I was told they wanted a copy of my contract with the public adjustor, and I did that. They could have told me they needed all this information in one phone call but they dragged it over 3 weeks and in the meantime, my contractor was asking for payment daily and I don't blame him. I bet Citibank worker don't work for weeks without getting paid.
My most recent experience is on Aug. 4, 2oo8 I sent them a check for supplemental damages to my home. I included a letter requesting that the funds be available because I am out of pocket $5, 000, and my contractor wants a $5, 000 deposit to order new siding. According to them the check was received, but not the letter, which was in the same envelope and mailed from the post office. When I called there was no record of the letter. I spoke to a woman named Nancy who told me to fax the letter and call back in 15 minutes to make sure the fax was received. When I called back in 20 minutes Nancy was not available and the woman I spoke to said it takes 48 hours to get a fax! She was rude and unprofessional. Today, I cried to a very nice man who did have a record on my fax (in less than 24 hours). I pay my mortgage on time, I pay my homeowner's insurance policy, they are holding my money and in the meantime I have workmen asking me daily for payment!
I have NEVER been able to get the same person on the phone twice and everyone tells me something different. Citimortgage is delaying the repairs to my home and I have to call them daily, and they keep adding conditions to release money to fix my home. And everytime I call I talk to a different person and when I request to speak to the previous person they are never available. All I want is my home repaired before winter. This has been going on since March!

Customer Service
I've got a 30 year mortgage with Citimortgage, and I've called customer service once, that was today. I wanted to request to have my payment date changed because all of my bills are due at pretty much the same time. Well the answer was no but that's not the complaint.
The man, who I could barely understand because he didn't barely spoke English, persisted in trying to sell me a CREDIT CARD! I'm calling to change a payment date, and I have to deal with what amounts to a telemarketing ploy.
Not only would he not take no for an answer, he read his script in response to everything I said, I couldn't understand him, and I had to hang up the phone on him because he just wouldn't accept that my answer was no.
That is LOUSY customer service, if that's what you can even call it. It seems that since companies have to deal with do no call lists, they try to reel you in when you're only calling for help. This is a disgrace and terrible business practice. I'm a good customer and this is how good customers are treated by Citibank I suppose.
Thanks for nothing. I won't likely be calling "Customer Service" again.

Mortgage Payoff
I have been attempting to payoff my home with Citimortgage since June 2, 2008. It is now July 28th and I still have not received a refund check from them. I first called in to request a payoff on May 28th 2008 due to my home being destroyed by a tornado on May 25th 2008. The faxed me a payoff on May 28th good until July 1st - because it takes 30 days to pay a mortgage off - funny thing is it takes them one day to clear the payment!!! I sent my check off on June 2nd, requesting any refunds or return items to be mailed to my new address...well they returned my 'PAYOFFcheck, the check I sent them, to me at my old address - which sat there for 5 days until I finally called Citimortgage to check on my status and they told me what they had done. So I went to my old hometown and picked up my check at the City Hall - where all of the undeliverable packages were going. I then returned it to Citimortgage requesting a payoff again - this time as of August 1st because it was July 1st already. I then called them weekly checking on the status. Well - IRONICALLY on July 2nd I also signed a new mortgage with Citimortgage for my new home - they applied my payoff check to that loan! So when I called in and found that out I was furious and told them they should fix it, payoff the correct loan as of the date they received the check (which was supposedly July 10th). This was July 17th and I talked to a man that said the loan would be paid off as of July 10th and I would receive my 'refund' check - it would be sent out no later than July 21. I called back on July 28th and asked about the status and they said my loan was paid in full as of July 17th and my refund check was to be mailed on August 3rd - I told them they were wrong and I was not paying interest from July 10-July17. And I requested my check to be sent overnight ASAP - she could only promise me it would go out the third overnight. Today is July 28th and we will see how this plays out - Citimortgage is by far the WORST company I have ever dealt with and has the WORST customer service in any industry PERIOD!!! They are out to screw you out of every penny they can. As soon as I can justifiably switch mortgage companies - it is happening and I will NEVER recommend or support in any way any of my customers to place their mortgage with Citimortgage.

poor customer service
Having customer service located in India is worse than offering no customer service, because not only is no help given, but the customer's time is wasted on top of everything! The service reps have no idea what the American customer is really asking--they merely give a scripted reply that doesn't even pertain to the actual question. They are difficult to understand, and their scripted politeness is way overdone and does nothing to help the caller. Everytime I call I only end up upset and promise myself that I'll never do business with this company in the future!
