I hired this company and paid over $1, 100 for this company to design a website and to host the website. I don't know much about computers, so I trusted that everything they told me was accurate. After the company completed the design of the website, I requested for them to upload my corporate logo and they stated for a fee of $70/hr. That respond prompted me to do my due dilligence and contact other website/graphic companies to see exactly what I paid for. After investigating, I found out that I should have access to my hosting account and my files because that is what I paid for. When I contacted the owner he refused to give me access to them and asked why did I want access-did I plan on moving my website. I asked for my files they refused to give the files to me. I signed a contract with this company in April 2008 and it is now Jan. 2010 and they will not give me access to my files. I had to pay godaddy for hosting (which they gave me access the same day.) However, after I paid godaddy for hosting-I was left with no files to upload to the hosting. I was forced to pay another company that had my website up and running in 3 weeks. This company refuses to give its paying customers its files or access to it hosting account at an attempt to force you to pay them for every change needed to your website. If they don't give you access to your website files or give you access to your hosting then you don't really own your own website. I should have done my due dilligence into this company before I paid them one penny. Everyone be aware of scam organization that prey on customers that aren't computer savvy.
