Toronto law enforcement is making money from people leveraging the weak-spots of the drivers. There is a street off of the Weston Road, near Lawrence called Little Avenue. There is a no-right sign for this little avenue when coming from Weston Road between 4-6 PM.
The signs for this no-right turn is not easily visible, unless you are looking for it. Given this atleast 200 unaware drivers are making this turn. Law enforcement has to take appropriate steps to make this no-right better visible (or) warm drivers so they are alert about this info.
Instead everyone is being fined here. The hefty fine of 110$ and 2 point demerit is a severe penalty for a small mistake which most of them are doing un-aware. I believe it doesnt justify punishing all drivers for this. I dont think so many will break the law knowingly.
I beleive law enforcement has found a way to make money for city in an alternate way. Though legally its a mistake unaware citizens should not be punished severely for unaware mistake and city should not aim making money this way. Instead they should take some alternate measures to reduce this happening.
Over the last few days atleast 500-1000 drivers would've been penalized. Thought publishing this in news will alert more drivers of these traps.
Thanks
