I received a pay day loan online in January, 2009 for $500.00 from City View Cash (they run under many online pay day loan names). When it was time to pay the amounts through electronic debits in my account, they started taking $60.00 here and $120.00 there. They drained my account causing massive bounced check fees and causing my account to go into the negative. I had to put a stop on all OUTGOING ach payments. Because of this, I'm not even sure how much I paid off total.

In May I was in a position to contact the company and try to pay off the amount I owed that had remained. I found the e-mail with the login information and I logged into their site. It told me to call a number, which I did. This number was for a collection agency called Security Net LLC.

Security Net LLC said they didn't have MY name on the loan but my exboyfriend's name and his social security number, but all the other information on the account was for me? I asked if I could get he name and ssn# changed to my name so if I pay off the amount they said I owed which was $773.00, it would benefit my credit. They said they could, but they didn't. I called later to pay $500.00 over the phone and set up post dated arrangements on the rest.

They said they couldn't change my name and ssn# to the proper info, and that the company CITY VIEW CASH no longer exists. The person at the collection agency said, in fact, 'they change their name a lot'. I did some research to find out that a.) they're not a licensed lender in Wisconsin where I live and it's illegal to lend over $250.00 in my state, and b.) they're a huge scam online pay day lender that has ripped off many people.

I disputed all this in writing after paying $513.00, I stated that I'd be willing to pay the balance of what I borrowed only and wrote several dispute letters and a 'pay for deletion' letter to Security Net LLC. They never responded! They kept saying they'd 'call me back' but never did! I sent over four letters, some faxed! NO response.

They tried to draft my $275.00 check I had post dated with them over ten to fifteen times. I blocked it but it caused non sufficient fund fees from my bank. The check was supposed to go through on 8/27/09 but I didn't have funds in there. Security Net LLC has ran that check every Friday until 9/30/09, sometimes two or three times in one day!

I agree to pay $87.00 so Security Check LLC will remove this from whoever's credit report it's under - but I can't deal with this anymore. The company that reported me doesn't 'really' exist anymore, and Security Net LLC refuses to respond to my complaints and accept a paid in full.

I'm so frustrated! This has caused me tears, heart ache, and worry. I've done everything I can do including threatening legal action and written letters to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General against both companies (for Wisconsin), and no response!
