SUBJECT: COMPLAINT ABOUT THE IRRESPONSIBILITY OF CITY BANK-GRAND PRAIRIE TX 75051
Dear Mrs. And Mr.
To whom it may concern,
My name is Lamson Nguyen, my B.D. is Nov.16.1944 and I retired at age 62 because of health problem.
1-Date Oct.29.2009 I withdrawed my IRA money and its documents from Bank Of America (2405 W. Interstate 20, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. Tel:9723435760 or Tel:9723524010) to reinvest to City Bank-Grand Prairie (2615 W. Pioneer Parkway Suite 101, Grand Prairie, TX 75051. Tel:9726609600). However, the New Accounts Representative name Philip Trinh has mistakenly and carelessly, opened a Certificate of Deposit (CD) instead of an IRA account as Bank Of America’s attached documents indicated.
2-Four months later, date Feb.24.2010, while I filed my income tax return at The Anphonso Blessings Tax Services ( 2202 NewYork Ave. Suite 911 Arlington, TX 76010. Tel:8174698888), we found the big mistake of City Bank-Grand Prairie to my account and I immediately came to see Mr. Don Vo( Brand Manager of City Bank-Grand Prairie) asking him to transfer back instantly to the IRA account.
3-Date Feb.26.2010 although it was their mistake, Mr. Don Vo charged a “penalty for early withdraw”=$131.92 to my account and transferred from the wrong CD account to the right IRA account as I wanted the first day I opened my account.
4-A week later, date Mar.03.2010, Mr. Don Vo called me to meet him in his City Bank’s office explaining his transfer was illegal and have to transfer back as the regular checking account. I told him that from now on I will not sign with City Bank on any paper and I will look for a higher level office to talk with him. Mr. Don Vo answered me “you can do whatever you want, but that was the best he could do in my case! “.
5-Date Mar.15.2010 with the interventions of The Bank Of America ( Mr. Aaron Woodard, Bank Officer, [email protected] ) and of The Anphonso Blessings Tax Services (Mr. Tim Nguyen, CPA, [email protected] ), called to The Dallas Internal Revenue Service ( Mrs. Thomas Ebsa, IRS Representative) and with 3 ways conversation between Bank Of America - IRS – City Bank (Mr. Don Vo), he agree to correct their mistake.
But until today, after 5 times I called to City Bank and asked Mr. Don Vo about my IRA account, he try to sidestep my questions without result.
I think that Mr. Don Vo did not want to obey the law and help the customer, they were not very careful before and while performing their action with the customer.
With my family, this IRA investment money is the only hope for my family’s future, and today City Bank made all hope go away.
I am waiting and asking for Justice to be done for my family, they have to pay back the money they charged ($131.92) unreasonably to my account and also they have to pay back all the interest money (rate 2.15%) which I lost until today. Finally, if City Bank cannot fix it, they have to pay it, it means City Bank must pay in advanced the taxable amount ($8.000.00 ) on my IRA account for Tax Year 2010 and my interest money cause of their mistake made it happened to my family.
Please help me to get my money back to IRA account as soon as possible from City Bank-Grand Prairie. Thank you sincerely for your concern. Please call me any time if you need more information about anyone, anything in my letter.
Sincerely,
Lamson Nguyen
