What has happened to this hotel??????? Actually, I know...when it was in its last days as a Holiday Inn, the present management staff finished running it into the ground and look as if they now continue, but, they are simply now running a different Hotel brand into the ground. Wait...did I say management? These people are not management...never have been and never will be. No amount of a** kissing can make this possible. I believe the owner is a gentleman by the name of 'Jay'? He did save the building from being turned into a Ho-Jos, which is not even a place this management staff would be suited. But, he and his golden staff...(staph would be a better spelling) could not save the great sign and Holiday Inn washed its hands and said good riddance to bad rubbish. But, I am saddened that a hotel of the the calibur and magnitude this place once was has come to this. I have even heard talk, due to the recent fiascos of of bad employer/employee decisions that this hotel may have some age and race discrimination suits. Also, promotion based on..."I want that jb, as I was so imcompetent at the same job, my last boss unloaded me so can we do that to some actual credible employees so I can have it? Please, huh, please?????" What a terrible reputation for Clarion...to be associated with the class of people (or, rather no class) running this fledgling 'new' establishment. And...business there has not quite gotten the foothold the Holiday Inn, as mentioned, the former occupant had. And, since they do not even make the top 5 hotels in the area now over area 'motels', I see business getting worse. And, when word gets out as to how it is run and how certain employees, favorites among the guests, it can only get worse. This was the only full service hotel in Fairmont, and, for most of its time was a thriving one. Now, it appears to be one step up from a badly run flop house.

So stayed here at the clarion hotel on 13805 jamaica ave, jamaica ny, 11434 and the experience here I couldnt believe.checked in april 1st and i booked 3rooms 2double rooms and 1single bed room.so at about 6pm I went to check out the single room cause when I came in it wasnt ready, housekeeping was cleaning it.when I went to the lady at the front desk about the key not working she said in an attitude why am I just checking the room now.so when I went tothe room come to find out I was in someone elses room.i went back down stairs to inform the lady she screamed at me saying its my fault cause 208 was the room number I wrote, i informed the girl ealier put the room # down.then when iwent upstairs again to the right room this time the key still didnt work.when I went down the lady screamed at me again so I answered her back, then I said you guys have bad customer service. The night manager jumped in and stated oh what u mean bad customer service what u want something for free.then he stated he been in this country for 5 yrs so I felt offended so spoke my mind, he then p ut his hand tomy face to shhh me and the girl that was at the desk stated oh dont give her the time of day its not worth it and started speaking in their language right in front me.this hotel is rude and I would not suggest anyone to stay here cause they dont value customers.we dont come first. And the manager Rick didnt do anything about the situation.i give this hotel 2 thumbs down.
