My Explorer stalled on the highway in San Antonio. I had it towed to Clark's where they had previously replaced the fuel pump. Seemed to me it went out frequently. I decided to buy a truck instead of dealing with the Explorer since I needed one. I told Mr. Clark I was not in a hurry to fix it. I made several trips to their shop, telling him I wanted it repaired. Well, he dragged his feet for months. After a year, I finally sent a special delivery letter demanding repairs or towing to another shop. He finally called, said my "piece of junk" was ready. Bill was over $600! I got it back, the lining around the sunroof was damaged as he left it open in the rain. The headlight switch was dangling from the dash, there were no functions in anything in the dash, such as speedometer, oil pressure, radio, clock, etc. Then he said I had charged the battery backwards and fried the elctrical system!!! What a liar! You cannot charge a battery backward, but you sure as hell can install one backwards! The fuel pump quit working after about a month. I had an employee who once owned his own shop change the fuel pump. It was the original factory pump!!! Clark had never replaced it, only cleared the filter! The nuts still had the original Ford paint on them. Believe me, Mr. Clark is not going to paint nuts on the underside of the car!!! The fuel had to be drained and the tank dropped to change it out, so we know he didn't do it. I have the pump and recipt for the new one. Mr. Clark is a fraud and liar and will cheat anyone he can!!! Just because I am blonde does not mean I am stupid. He seems to think he can get away with this fraudulent activity but I am reporting him here.
