Clarks Shoes Reviews

Shoe Sole disintegrates
I purchased a pair of Clarks Sunbeat Sandals in size 5 last fall upon recommendation from a friend who is an ardent fan of these shoes. I wore my sandals for the first time today (2011 July 01) and within half hour of wearing them, the Sole disintegrated! I wore these sandals thinking that I would be wearing a comfortable pair of shoes while walking around enjoying Canada Day festivities. Instead, I spent my afternoon being extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed while walking around in sandals that were falling apart. Sadly, I wore them on a day that all stores were closed so I couldn't even buy a replacement pair of sandals. These sandals ruined my day.

I cannot believe that these shoes, which are not inexpensive, would be of such poor quality. When I purchase shoes from a reputable brand, I expect them to last at least 2-3 years, especially sandals, which I wear only 3-4 months per year.

I have taken pictures to show just how badly the sandals fared during their very first wear and shall email to Clarks Canada if I can find an email address.

I am hoping that Clarks will rectify this problem and reimburse my money for these &!^%#! sandals. I am awaiting a reply from them.

poor quality
I purchased these shoes around 10 years ago but rarely wore them . In fact they appear to be brand new. I recently wore them in the house and noticed the sole had split on the right shoe. Checking online I noticed there was a history of this problem dating back quite a few years. I sent the shoes to Clarks and they returned them stating the shoes were stored too long. Apparently their shoes are liable to decompose if not worn routinely. I asked why that wasn't specifically stated when they sell their shoes but they had no answer. . It would appear since they outsource their shoes to China problems have ( or still) occured but they unfortunately do not stand behind their product thus tarnishing a once solid company's reputation.

rubber soles cracked
I have a pair of clark springers that aren't even broken in and the bottom of the left sandal has a deep crack going accross east to west and the right sandal is starting to crack in the exact same spot. the numbers in the sandals are 31412 size 8 and then 25845602 made in England. Paying good money for Clarks should not do this on new shoes.

sole came off
I purchased blue slide at Clarks last winter. I got to wear them a month last year. The first time I wore them this year the sole came off on the right shoe. The left seems good and secure, so I can't figure what happened. I took it to a shoemaker and he said it was cheap PVC, and he could not repair it, and he has seen this happen alot. They cost about $50 at an Outlet Mall. Do I have any course of action?

Soles fall apart
While in London my husband purchased a pair of Clarks for his brother in law who really likes this brand. To our dismay the first time his brother in law tried them on they fell apart. The photographs speak for themselves. Unfortunately I could not find a proper address of Clarks headquarters to file a complaint.

falling apart
My Clarks clogs are separating from the soles. I have worn these shoes approximately six times and paid well for them. The cost and former reputation of Clarks shoes does not support the cheap construction and rapid decline of the product. I want my money back!!!

Leakk shoes
Bought a pair of men's shoes from Clarks which cost £80. One day whilst wearing them, it started to rain, not that unusual in the UK, and I ended up with wet feet. Took the shoes back to Clarks with the receipt complaining that they leaked only to be told that they were 'shower-proof', not 'waterproof' - apparently none of Clarks's shoes are waterproof unless you buy the Gortex brand - be warned, Clarks shoes are not built for the unpredictable British weather - what a joke! Last time will buy from them and will make sure friends and neighbours don't either.

Web Site Fault & Lack of Customer Interest
I ordered some shoes for my father. The web site noted an issue with the card - I re-entered it twice. On the third order I called Maria in Customer Care who told me that there had been no order and that she could not help me. I called my bank and was told that there were three orders - all at GBP 115 each - payable to Clarks.
The Bank advised that Clarks needed to send me a fax advising that they would not draw down the funds.
I had no receipt at all from Clarks.
On my next call I was placed on hold for over 5 minutes.
I then again spoke with Maria who said that she could not help me. Way to go on zero customer care!
I insisted that she look into this, and gave her the transaction numbers.
She insisted that she would do this later and call me back. I'm still waiting! I will never shop with Clarks again.
