Beware
On Friday, September 24, 2010 I called Classic Carriers USA and spoke with Dane Beaumont. I ask Dane about the car lugagge rack that his company is advertising if they have a rack for a Toyota MR2. He responded by saying that he has it in stock but waiting for some parts from their parent company in Europe. He indicated to me that the parts should be in on Monday. And then I asked Dane if I order the luggage rack for my MR2 that day (Sept. 24th) when will I get the merchandise? He informed me that it will get to me within a week. A week passed and did not get the merchandise. I e-mailed Dane. A day later did not hear from him. I e-mailed him the following day. Again did not hear from him so I called him and asked him what happen to the luggage rack the I ordered. Dane told me that he's still waiting for the parts from Europe but should be in within a day or two and when they arrive he will ship the rack ASAP and I should get it within 3-4 days. Two and half weeks passed and no rack. E-mailed Dane again, did not hear back from him. The following day I e-mailed him again and again no response. I called him and spoke with him again and he told me that he will have his European distribution center ship the rack directly to me and I should receive it by Monday, Oct. 11th. During this time Classic Carriers USA already has already charged my credit cards for $335. Monday came, no rack. e-mailed Dane again, no response called him several times last Tuesday & yesterday, no answer and no rack in sight! I sent Classic Carriers USA several e-mails yesterday and no response. This prompted me to contact my credit card company and filed a dispute on the charge made by Classic Carriers USA. To date, I never heard from Classic Carrier USA and still no luggage rack! Today I went back to their website and found some information about their parent company, Flair Carriers, a European company according to their website. I did some checking around and could not find anything about Flair Carriers. It seemed that the company does not exist. I sent Classic Carriers USA another e-mail today to ask for a refund, no response back. Tomorrow I will be contacting the City of Seattle Business Licensing office and the Seattle Better Business Bureau to report this company's unfair business practices. I want to let everyone out there who is thinking of doing business with Classic Carriers USA to think twice before they do it! It is not worth it! Don't let Classic Carriers USA mislead you to buy their product and services!
