On the evening of March 16, 2010, I opened a jar of Classico Four Cheese Alfredo sauce and heard a clunk when I poured it into a glass dish. The clunk sound came from a large piece of glass that appeared to be part of a jar just like the one the product came in. I immediately called the number on the back of the jar, but got a recording to call an after hours number - so I did. I reported what I found, giving the details (expire date, bar code, lot number), as requested. I also called the grocer where I had bought the product earlier that day. I took pictures, disposed of the sauce, kept the jar, the lid, the piece of glass, and my receipt showing the purchase. To follow up, I called the number on the back of the jar again the following morning. I was told there was no record of my previous call, so I gave them the information again. All I recall about the conversations is that I was told I would receive something so I could mail/ship the piece of glass to them and I was told this is rare, to which I replied that I hoped so! It's been right at 41 hours since my first call to Classico and 26 hours since my second call, and I don't think any action has been taken yet I will call some grocers and see if they know about any recalls of the product and update this complaint accordingly.
