I have been trying to close my account for almost a month now. I sent the equipment back, but each time I call, I am told the account cancellation is on hold pending receipt of the equipment. I've had several people confirm with the warehouse that the equipment has been returned and they supposedly notated my account saying so, but each time, I'm told that I have to talk to account services and they will cancel the account. I have talked to account services and they assured me it was finally taken care of. I called back today and was told, again, that the equipment hadn't been received and that I would need to talk to account services (and they're not back until Monday). My next billing date is coming up, so we'll see if they manage to drag this out until they can bill me again (I was, of course, assured this would not happen). My bank says my only recourse to prevent this is to cancel my debit card! I so wanted to like Clear, and did until I tried to cancel (my reason for canceling had to do with low internet speeds).

Clear offered service speed of up to 5 G.
I could not even get 1 G. They promised that I had 7 days free trail. When I call to cancel they blame me for " user failure" and tried to talk me into helping trouble shoot thier poor coverage issues. I said no thank you, please issue me a UPS call tag and refund my money.
The sales rep then starting asking me if I had a friend or family member that I could convince to take the service?
What a joke this sounds worst than the customer service at Comcast. I get at least get 10 to 18 G with them.
Slick Marketing, poor product and the worst client retention service ever.
I will let everyone I know to not consider this as an option!!! WORD OF MOUTH is faster than this service.

trying to get someone to send a return label so you can return a rented modem through clear is ridiculous. i spent 50 minutes talking to them on the phone and internet trying to find someone to send a return label. i was told i had to find someone to take over my contract or i had to go online and sell it on craigslist. when i finally asked for a manager i was told i had exceeded their hold time and told i would be contacted within 24 hours. the next person told me that i had hung up before i could be helped. steer clear of Clear Wireless, it is not worth the $7.00 you save compared to Comcast.
