WE went to what we thought was an update from RCI on their points system. It turned out to be a hard sell for RCI points but by a time share Club Trinidad - the salesman was really good and told us that we could make thousands by selling the RCI points once we got them, and even introduced a ''points broker'' to us who said he'd buy all of our points. There was more, untruths and half truths and downright lies, but we were taken in with the focus on the thought of being able to sell the points and make some money to help get us out of debt. He even said he'd put it in writing. We signed the papers and left but wen we got home and read the stuff, we had only just purchased another time share that we didn't want, couldn't afford, and nothing in writing about buying those points either. We wrote a letter canceling the contract using the 3 days right of recissession and faxed it to the hdq on the contract, also sent an email to them, and called our credit card to cancel the account, close it and issue another one with a number they couldn't charge because they didn't have it ! if they didn't co-operate. Then we called legal Services and talked with an attorney who reassurred that we did it right. It was a close call. When I asked another time share realty broker that we know about it, he said one word. -
SCAM !!!
We almost fell for it but it seemed too good to be true, and you know what we say about that.
