CNAC Financing Reviews

Pulls illegal stunts
I recently fell behind on my payments. For those of you that have criticize others on here, let me make one point, and that is that I did always make my payments, and fell behind due to a medical condition that kept me from work and drained my savings. I called CNAC, and advised of the situation. I tried to work with them, offering partial payments, but was declined. CNAC stated that the only option is to make the total payment. CNAC then began harassing me, acting as if I was dodging them which was NEVER the case. The contacted friends and family members, my place of work, and even called my neighbors. The would call their homes, cells, and places of work. I even was advised that CNAC had stopped at my neighbors to get personal information about me. I asked several time to stop the harassment, but they advised that they have every right to call, and stop at the residency, of anyone they want to contact me. Again, I NEVER dodged their calls, and always returned calls that I missed. I finally was able to pay the past due balance that was owed after returning back to work, and getting my Federal tax return. The local office closed recently, and the nearest office is now 45 miles away. They demanded that I drive the 90 miles, round tip, to drop off the payment. They offered to take the payment by phone, but will charge a $5.00 fee, plus I know that they keep my cc# info and do not want to take a chance with these people. They also offer a auto pay, but again, I do not trust these people. I sent the payment to them via certified mail. Enclosed in the envelope where two money orders, a letter giving official notification to discontinue calling my friends, family, and neighbors about my account or to get info about me, also a SASE so they could send a receipt for the payment back to me. The letter was received by CNAC the very next day, and two days later I received my SASE, but enclosed was a receipt for less then what I had paid. I also received a letter advising me that my car insurance had been canceled and needed reinstated. This did occur and was due to my financial problems. It had been reinstated, but CNAC had not received notification. Immediately called CNAC and was advised that they did receive the full past due payment, but that they said it was my fault that I didn't get a receipt showing full amt. REAS: I sent 2 money orders and only one SASE!!! That makes no *** sense. The advised that they will send the other receipt. i also advised them that the insurance was reinstated, and that I will fax the info to them, but due to my work schedule, would not be able to do so for 2 days. I later receive a voicemail message from CNAC and I was advised that they would send the receipt but not until I send the insurance info! I immediately called the BBB regarding this issue. Was advised that they are required to give me a receipt for payment and that I had gone above and beyond by sending a SASE. I called CNAC and advised that I had called BBB and filed an official complaint, That I will not tolerate being bullied by them, and that until they send the receipt for my last payment, no future payments would be sent. I placed the payments in an account, and planned on sending a copy of the receipt to them. Before I was able to do so I received a call back advising that the receipt has been sent to me, and apologized for their actions. I also learned that the FAX number they had given me was no longer in service (I'm wondering if they didn't pay their bill). Since then, the insurance info was sent, I'm up to date on payments, and I haven't received any further calls (and neither have my friends, family, and neighbors) I recommend NEVER getting a car from JD Byrider, Never get financing from CNAC! I know I wont!

Harrasing phone calls
Since I purchased a vehicle fron J.D.Byrider, (CNAC)Tallahassee, Fl I have had nothing but phone calls and threats. The way these people speak to you over the phone "they talk like we are ignorant and uneducated to say the least. If I am one day late, all I hear about is the bank this and the bank that. CNAC does not care about you and me, they only care about the vehicle they trapped us into buying, with mechancial problems to boot. I've also taken mine into their service dept. several times and it takes a few days each time to get it back. last time I took it in was for ABS lights on a year ago. They are still on! Service dept. told me it was a shortage in the wiring.WOW!!! Can't wait to be through with them. DO NOT BUY FROM JD BYRIDER people.

Harrasment
I bought a car from JD Byrider, and financed through CNAC in June 2009. The total purchase price was to be $10, 900. What originally lured me in was their constant advertisement that $299 down delivers. Well, once I got in the office, and spent 3 hours going over everything about my life, I left $1500.00 poorer than when I went in. As for purchase price of 10, 900. after a year of making payments of $360 a month, my total owed has just now gone under $10, 000. Also my payments are due every friday, and the office closes at 7pm. If i am not there by 4pm, they are calling threatening to take my vehicle. My insurance this month was due by the 17th, and i paid on that date. I just got a really *** letter from CNAC today(21st) about how my insurance has lapsed, and to contact them immediately. I went on my insurance providers website, and my insurance never lapsed even for 1 day. these people are ruthless, and dishonest. I was in a bind after an accident, and had to have a vehicle fast. My credit wasn't very good either. If not for that, I would have never gone there. I will most definitely not be going back

Repos car from Military Veteran
My husband's unit had just returned from Iraq the begining of February. As of then, they had "laid off" many of the returning soldiers. He happened to be one of them.

Ever since his active duty has been up, he has had job interviews at local corrections offices, restaurants, and convenient stores. He is also still waiting for unemployment to start coming in. Because of his income last year, we do not qualify for any kind of government assistance.

His car payment is now 9 days passed due, and hes tried many times to cooperate with CNAC. For the past two years he has had his account set up for automatic withdraw for his car payments, and they NEVER took the payments out when they were scheduled to. So while he was in Iraq they would call me twice a month wanting the payments... HELLO they were to be taking them. So because of "technical difficulties" they were experiencing, his history shows many late payments.

Today is friday, his unemployment is coming monday, and they are trying to repo his car by 7:30 pm tonight.

I understand a contract was signed, and we should keep up with the payments, but things do happen. They are acting as if he is three months behind on payments.

This is the most HORRIBLE financing company I have ever experienced. I wish he would have found these reviews before he bought the car and we would have gone a totally COMPLETELY different direction.

Worst reps ever
CNAC Customer Service Reps are the worst. I'm one month shy of it being 1 year since i had my car I never been late paying my bill but my last t

2 payments was late and I called them and let them know why I was late, but regardless of me calling them and letting them know they will still call and harass you anyway. it's time for me to shop around to get my car refinanced. Not only have this man called me about my own account with madness but he has also harassed me about someone else that have an account with CNAC that put me down for a reference.

We have to stop them
Did you know that BBB processed a total of 5 complaints about jd byrider business in the last 36 months.

Of the total 5 complaint closed in the last 36 months, 2 were closed in the last 12 months.

The only way to really have our voices heard is to go through and file a complaint with the BBB. I was shocked to find my jd store had a A+ rating. We have to start now! I see a lot of complaints here but we must make them feel our pain.

If we flood there site with complaints like we do here thay will surly do something about this wild company.

In Customer Complaint History BBB processed a total of 0 complaints about the CNAC company in 2237 E Victory Drive Savannah, GA 31404-3919

If we don't do it, nothing will stop them.

Don't do business with them
I got a vehicle financed through JD Byryder a little over 3 years ago. I too was told that I could trade in the vehicle for a new one if my payments were on time for a year. All the payments that were made over 1 1/2 years did not bring down the balance. In fact, I owed more than the purchase price. Thank god or the Attorney Generals office. Apparently I wasn't the only one. An investigation was by the State of Iowa for Nebraska and Iowa consumers and the company was closed down. By this time I had secures an auto loan with my credit union. I was told to return the car and put the keys in the drop box--and I did. I called the customer service dept and they tried to get me to keep the vehicle. I notice on my credit report it says account closed and payment in full settled for less. If you are thinking about financing with CNAC-DON'T...save yourself some money, time and frustration.

Do not buy from JD Byrider
I purchased a vehicle from JD Byrider in July of 2007 and was told at that time that if I made all of my payments on time that Russ Darrow their co-company would guarantee me financing into a brand new vehicle. I had all my payments directly withdrawn never was late or missed a payment in over a year. I went back after my year was up and they told me that I could not trade in my vehicle until I paid off almost the full balance. I paid $11, 000 for vehicle that isn't worth half of that. I wish there was some way I could get out from under the horrible debt.
