I used to have this company for cobra until about 1 month ago in which my company went with a different administrator. (Thank God) I could not get my benefits going for 4 months because the people stated that I didnt pay enough. The first customer service rep said she would check into it and get back to me within 72 hrs
which is plenty of time. However, it was 5 days later and guess what? I was back on the phone again asking a different rep. This woman stated their were no notes in the system and she didnt see anything being worked on but she would look into it. Please give me 24 hrs and you can call back. I said fine. In the meantime, I was so frustrated because its 4 months I started looking into other insurance. One insurance company said to me that this was the worse cobra administrator to deal with and she gave me her symphathy. The insurance woman gave me the plans and said to me you should of called us earlier and not deal with them. I was in an awe when I heard that. She also said to me alot of them over there are not cobra certified, which really got me scared because of the fact their dealing with not only my life but others. I finally called back and asked for a reimbursement back of my funds and the woman over the phone stated you will have to write a letter because thats the way it is handled. I wrote the letter back on Decemeber of 08 and I called a few weeks ago and the woman on the phone said to me "yea we got it" but data entry is running 2 months behind. 2 months I said! She said yes and I asked another question and she went on to say "Oh Ricoh is no longer with us" I said Yayyy they finally got smart. I did ask the woman on the phone if everyone was "cobra certified" and she stated "no not everyone in the office"! And she stated not everyone has to be certified. I said to her "ITS THE LAW"! Your dealing with peoples lives dont you care? She gave me her speal and said have a good day! I said I will! and I report you people to the attny general and the Dept of Insurance. Then the phone was disconnected. Please for the love of God "DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY"!! Go find insurance elsewhere even if you pay a little more. Ask them how far are you behind and if their cobra certified if your dealing with wageworks?
