Bed bugs
The night of the stay my family contracted bed bugs. I am aware this is a difficult accusation to prove. The day after our stay my wife, my 22 month old son and I all had red bites on our feet and legs. When I returned home the situation worsened every night. I called David Ickowits the director of operations that Monday and he never returned my call. I continued to leave him and his staff messages for the next two weeks without the consideration of a returned phone call. After calling Sage Hospitality there corporate office did anything start to happen. They informed me that no one had stayed in my room and would check on my claims. The insurance company told me that David Icowitz was in charge of checking on the room, the same irresponsible person who wouldn’t return my calls. The insurance company said it shouldn’t take more than a day or two for me to receive a check for the damages. Which are, the room charge of $164.08, the bed bug inspection fee of $325, the pest control fee of $867. A month later the insurance company told me That David Ickowitz checked the room and had placed two other guests in that had no complaints. David Ickowits acted unprofessionally ignoring my complaints then lied to the insurance company and his superiors at Sage Hospitality about the bed bug infestation. I inquired about the specifics of the investigation. I am supposedly not privy to this information if it even exists. I am one hundred percent positive that I contracted bed bugs from this hotel and that this individual is trying to cover it up. Therefore I am not going to pay for the room and eventually expect re-imbursement for all my expenses from Co Co Key.
