The vendor promotes his services as something unique and worthy of a $400+ set up fee and a $200+ ongoing monthly fee, convincing me I needed the education and support his company provided to succeed in the industry. He leads you to believe he and his company is trustworthy, but the only way you are able to view their true services, is by entering into a contract, which would provide the access needed. He assured me the contract was formality and if at any time the services did not work for me, he would have no interest in holding me to the contract, reassuring me he would not be able to remain in business if he held people to contracts against their wishes. I signed the contract, as requested. Subsequently, I attempted to make their services work for my start up business, which they did not. I notified him (the company) in writing. They continued to attempt to charge my credit card. I had to cancel the card, to get the charges to stop.
What do you think happened? The next thing I knew, a collection agency was calling me and demanding an exorbitant amount of money, saing he was hired by "Collegiate Advisors" and he "was not going away, until I paid the money". Addtionally, I was called by someone stating they were a commercial investigator, and claiming they were going to show up at my home and do an "asset inventory" of my property, on behalf of the collection agency and Collegiate Advisors. ...are you kidding me?! What kind of racket is this?!
I would not recommend entering into a business arrangement with this company, in light of my personal experience and observations. Their material was outdated. When they sent "special files", most of it consisted of copies of articles that are easily retrieved from multiple sources on the internet. Their presentation material was less than polished. Their website services were very limited and their communication was nearly nonexistent.
I will notify this complaint board, if they decide to make it right and honor their original commitment to release me from any agreement, due to the services not meeting my needs. In the meantime, be aware of this vendor.
