This company is simply terrible. I worked for them as a painter for almost 2 months. I have been painting for over 5 years so I know the trade and these guys are by far the worst I have worked for. Crummy work, stiffing workers their pay, having inexperienced kids doing things they have no business doing, etc.
Here's my story, upon working for one day I was asked to be the foreman (leader of a painting crew) this somewhat worried me given it was my first day but I wanted the extra pay promised and I felt comfortable leading crews so I decided to do it. The first house I dealt with was already messed up by these guys (paint literally everywhere, things painted the wrong color). Basically it was on me to make their mess good. I powerwashed (MY powerwasher) the paint off the homeowners deck and driveway and repainted what these guys hacked and made the customer happy. Also, the job took the company 3 months to complete, I could have done it by myself in 1.
I was then put on a house with the paint and some plastic sheeting (drop cloth) and told to have at it. There were no ladders or even tools given to me to complete the task. Luckily, the home owner had a ladder and since I have been painting for years I have most of my own tools. The siding on this house was a complete mess so the prep time took a good bit espescially considering I was working by myself 90% of the days. The days I worked with other employees were spent making sure they didn't screw things up too bad because they were such inexperienced hacks (These are the same heroes that messed up the first house I had to fix).
When it came to paying me I found out that I wasn't actually going to get payed what I was led to think. Originally I agreed to $13 and hour, but came to find out that it is based upon a piecemeal type of scam and there were times set to get each task done all of which were unrealistic. For instance I had 1 hour alloted to scrape sand and prime and entire side of a house that really would have taken 3 days to do that and make it look right. So, given that, the company started to send me checks for next to minimum wage.
At the end I painted an entire house 2.5 stories, did it right, and got payed minimum wage, while these scumbags get payed for doing absolutely nothing.
Don't hire them, chances are you'll get some hackers and they'll get paint all over your house, cut corners, and then stiff the guys they have working for them. ***Just look on the BBB page!*** Collegiate Entrepenuers painting gets an F, I've never seen that before, but it is certainly well deserved.
