I just wanted to say that I also accepted the "free trial" of Acai Berry and Colon Cleanse. I was told that all I had to pay was $5.00 shipping and I could cancel at any time. It was at the beginning of December when I ordered it and when I tried to cancel, they were closed thru Christmas and into the first week of Jan. which was past the 30 days. I told them I had tried to cancel but they were closed and that was not my problem so they had a manager get on the line and he said they had me on tape agreeing to pay $90. a month for the product that was basically a laxative that I could have bought at Wal-mart for $3.00. What I had agreed to when I placed the order was a free subscription for some magazines, which I never received. They then spliced that to them asking me if I agreed to pay $90. a month. Luckily, I had paid with a prepaid debit card and I had been taking the money out of my account before they could get to it because when I tried to have the automatic payment blocked with my debit card company, I found they had tried to take the money out of my account 3 times already that month (before the free trial was even up). I ended up having to cancel my debit card to stop them from accessing my account. They then started calling me harassing me and telling me they were going to take me to court if I didn't pay them. I told them to do it and they called several times a day after that until I finally screamed at them that I would call the police and file harassment charges against them if they called me again. I finally got a letter a week later saying they canceled my membership because of nonpayment. It really broke my heart when they did that!
