We purchased 1500 square feet of Columbia Flooring's Chase Pecan engineered hardwood. One third of the way through installation, we finally had enough natural light to see just how terrible the wood was. It was pitted, didn't fit up where the boards come together, started delaminating prior to the installation even finishing, and had pits throughout. The manufacturer told us to finish installation and then they would replace the floor. NEVER ever trust something like that! Three years later we are going to court. They quit making the product and have been bought by Mohawk.
Is there anybody else out there with a similar experience with Columbia? I'd love to hear about it!
