Not being truthful
They stated that you DO Not have to do anything when they change over on June 12th to digital. Wrong!!! you will lose lots of station that you are paying for unless you get a digital box.
Cost $99.00 for delivery of box and instalation
Cost &35.00 if you have the box and they install it.

Can't cancel service
I moved from my home 1/18/2009. I called comcast and place me service on vacation hold because there was a chance I was moving back to the address. I called Comcast back on 3/1/2009 and told them I was offically not moving back to the residence and they should cancel my account as of that date. After 4 more calls they finally cancelled my account, or so I thought. I received a refund for the amount they had taken from my credit card after the account was closed. The next month they charged my credit card again. I called they said it was a error and they would correct it. Each month they continue to charge my credit card for services that are not rendered. I've spoken now to 15 employees and have documented all thier id #'s. I still have no confidence that they will cancel the service at my prior address. I making a official complaint to the state's attorneys office but I just want to be done with these people.

billing
we had called the cable company after having the service for one month. We asked that they turn the service off because we wasnt getting what they said that we would get in the package. They told us that we would have to return the cable box before they turn off the services. We told them that we had a disability that we couldnt bring the box in to them. We get a bill for a little over four hundred dollars. Called the cable company after they turned off the home phone and found out that they never turned off the services of the cable and that they cant find when we called in to cancle the services. They can only see when we called in on the 04/03/2009 about the billing and how they sent someone out the next day to get the box. After they turned off the phone we called them and told them how we was lied to about the services we would get and how if anything go wrong, cause we had to cancel the service before because we never got the 200 dollars rebate plus none of the channels, so we knew that this company can make mistake and thats when we asked the guy if the service dont be right with the cable we will cancle the cable but keep the phone cause we had the phone for almost a year.

overcharge
I got the sevice, which is called the triple-play(cable, internet, and phone ), from comcast on a sale for $120.00 a month, for a year at that price, so when my year was up I tried renegotiating my contract to better fit my budget and was refused, so I shopped around for a better deal. Took the phone service out for a much better $10.00 a month. Explained what I was doing to comcast after january no bill from comcast, 2 months no bill, finally get a sign on door to call if I still want to enjoy services I do, they tell me I owe$488.00 how? at what rate?, break it down?then, I get the bill in the mail $630.00 we are talking about less service(no phone)What happened here??????

Bad and Incompetent service
I have had Comcast Service for 5 months now. We started with bad signal issues, had to take the afternoon off from work to wait on tech. After two times I told them to just run a new feed from the road. They did that and it worked fine until it was covered. I called for service again, had them come after my work this time. The tech said everything was fine. The picture continued to freeze and break-up for a few weeks and one day the box was off with no clock nothing. Called Comcast and got it going again, this happened 3 more times until I asked to have the box changed. I drove 20 min to the service center to change the box out, got it home and it would not work. Called Comcast and got this one going, service center never activated the box. Box worked for 2 days and went blank, called Comcast to get box going, 2 days later remote would not control the box, back-up remote would not control the box. Called Comcast and they could not get it going, Had to take the box 20 min back to the service center. Lady at the service center could not give me a diffrent box, so I asked to have just the Cable TV service cancelled.
I get home and find the whole thing was cancelled, my internet also. Called Comcast to get it going again to find out the lady at the service center cancelled my whole account. At that point I told them to just leave it and I will go elsewere. I have about 6 hrs of phone time and 3 hrs of drive time invested in this whole mess with Comcast, so they said they would credit me $45.00. Ok, I later was checking the bill and figured the the bill was just paid and the $45.00 was what they have to credit me back for unussed service.
This company really needs to look into finding some new employees, In these times it should be very easy to find quality people. I am working on changeing over to DirecTv. I hope not to be back here typeing.

bogus charges
Comcast cable really put it to me on billing me AFTER I requested disconnection.Also billed me for unreturned modems that I DID return. They sent me to a very rude collection agent. They still claim more owed then I really do. Companies get too big and don't care.

Terrible company
Comcast allowed someone else to receive services using my SS#. I tried several times to correct this with comcast, but representative would not return a call. Therefore, I went to the North Charleston Police Department and filed a report of identity theft.
North Charleston Police has tried to obtain information in order for them to further their investigation.
I do not know how comcast can allow just anyone to request service and then deliver without verifying the persons information, inasmuch proper identification, driver's license, ect.
The only way that I found out about this, I tried to receive their bundle services and at that time was told I needed to pay an old debt of $175. I refused since this debt was not mine.
To date, nothing has been reported back to me. Even after I made several calls to Comcast, visited their local office and also sent an email to their public relations persons.

Rebate Scam
Ordered HD Cable, High speed Int. and telephone service. $125.00 was promised in rebates. No confirmation number was ever received. No traceability as to who sold service. Just a big runaround. Comcast is not truthful. They mislead their customers and have no regard for their interests.

Rip off company
I have contacted Comcast 'customer service' 4 times via telephone and once through their on-line chat system to solve this billing issue with no success. My family was without cable/internet services for 15 days following Hurricane Ike. To this date, Comcast has credited our account for approximately 4 days and Comcast is refusing further credit.
