I have been using the same plan for years with the same rate. I entered the automatic bill program so that I would receive only email but no longer receive paper bill, and also, the payment was charged automatically every month without my logging into the account. The lesson I want to share with you: never trust Comcast, it is run by dishonest people.
I checked my credit card statements last night and found that Comcast has raised my rate by around 50% half a year ago, with no email or phone call to notify me. Caught cheating, the staff of Comcast came up with a ridiculous story: I have been using the same plan for years and Comcast has kept automatically offering promotion so that my rate never changed. Coincidentally, when I changed to automatic payment, the promotion suddenly expires and now I am automatically paying a higher rate. Do you buy that story?
The agent name Alber with ID number ‘YDT’, is especially rude and offensive. He kept interrupting me and said he was the 'senior agent' who reports to nobody. When asked if he was the last person I should talk to before I collect the money via the small claims court, he said no. Then I ask him to let me talk to that last person, he asked: ‘who would you like to talk to.’ Is that for real?
The supervisor named Christ Brabo offered a credit of $20 (after Comcast over charged me more than $200). And that would be just a credit, to be use toward the next bill. Are you kidding me?
Unlike Albert, Christ Brabo has someone he reports to, the manager(s), who would be available 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This means, if you want to make an effort getting back the money stolen from you, you would need to loss your working hours first, which actually cost more. Brilliant!
Besides this accident, there are frequent service outages, sometimes high-speed internet and sometimes home phone also.
I am wondering how to get the money back?

Poor Servicce
After one day service not working properly (error codes). Tech support says I have to wait 72 hours and call back if not working. Another agent says it is a bad box. A third says it is a signal strength issue. Does anyone have a solution? No Adios

Customer Service
Comcast is completely out of control with the worst customer service I have every experienced. The NH Public Utilities Commission should shut them down. To add to the insult their rates are outrageous based on the quality and reliability of their service.

poor customer service
My boyfriend has comcast and I live with him for many years, we agreed to disconnect it due to his extenuating circumstances and he does not want to deal with it. I went to comcast store and also called to disconnect, they ignored me simply because I was not on the account, they don't understand that I am member of household and pay the bills including comcast... they were rude, inconsiderate and horrible customer service. Should I accept that from I company that I paid services for?!
I also reported that there is no cable services, it went out on me, they even didn't care to take a look at the problem and send a technician. I also returned the cable box to their store, they insisted that will keep charging for the overpriced cable just because I am not on the account. Can they understand that is NO thank you for bad customer service, and comcast disregard for the customer that pays for a service that I am not satisfied with?

I have been a comcast customer out of necessity for years {no other provider in the area}. They recently changed their service and by doing so I have lost most of the tv channels I thought i was suppose to get under the service I thought I signed up for.I went into the comcast center to pick up a box for digital cable cause I was no longer getting channels. And was told i did not need a box cause i was only signed up for basic service. Why did my tv service suddenly change at the same time the digital service did? I came home home and still did not get any channels NONE. I disconnected the box and got some local channels. I did try to resolve the problem and was told my cable was hooked up wrong. How do the cables switch themselves?????? finally internet service was disconnected while on vacation for being over due. I paid the bill still dont have service but still have to pay for time I was disconnected and ow while I STILL HAVE NO TELEVISION SERVICE. They are the only provider in our area so we are at the mercy or their stupid {I believe illegal } charging policies. What ever happened to government intervention like back when ATT was broke up cause of their monopoly.If there is another choice of internet providers we could do without comcast. Let me state there is another provider for our area it is Fairpoint communications but they are bankrupt and charged over $300for one month for phone and dsl service. Another reaqson to switch to the evil empire for service. I am not the only person in the area that has issues with comcast. P.S.Did you ever try to post a complaint on COMCAST WEB SITE IT DIRECTS YOU TO SUBSCRIBE TO MORE SERVICES. good complaint department. Its like buying and paying for a toyota and then they take it back and tell you you actually bought a yugo. I'll admit i"m not a heavy subscriber but still a customer.

CHARGED AFTER I ALREADY MOVED
I wrote a letter to Comcast to cancel my account. The letter was attached to my bill. Comcast took the money out of the check but did not read my letter. I received another bill this month stating that we owe them money for internet services.
I proceed to chat with a representative since they were not operating at that hour. The rep told me that she/he had put a "note" in my account stating the problems and if I call the 1800 number the following day, everything would be resolved. When I called them the next day, the representative rudely told me "sorry, that's not how it works.You must call to cancel the account." She did not apologize. She did not sound at all sorry. This is RUDE customer service.
How then, may I ask, Comcast can take money from the same envelope that has the letter in it, but they disregard the letter? Is it too much for them to CALL me to confirm the letter? They have tons of people calling when it comes to things such as surveys and infomercials but they can't call a customer in regards to him canceling his account? Is money all they worried about and not customer satisfaction? I am completely furious that I would have to take out my time to bring proof to one of their offices.

Changing contract dates
I was set up on a contract with comcast that ws suppose to last 1 year. Cable, Internet, and phone for a set price for 1 year. Today I learned that it was released after only 6 months and that my fees for this service has more than doubled. Also the HBO that I was recieve free for a year has been taken off and I now am being charged full price . I have dealt with the nasty people and the swearing for months over this. I don't like being called names or threatened by customer care represenitives. It's just rude and uncalled for.
Is there qnything someone can do besides drop comcast and choose another company?
Realize that I have had cable since 1990 when I moved here. I am really at my wits end trying to figure out a solution.

Issuance of refund
I had Comcast service in Charleston SC. I moved to CT in December 2009. At that time I was due a refund of $118. It is July 2010 and I still have not received my refund. I called customer service department in Charleston SC at 843 554 4100 at least 5 times, spoke to 5 different reps (Angelia, Michelle (ext 2022), Angela (ext 2255), Sarah (ext 2564) and Tony (2389)) They all promised to look into the issue and call me back. None of them ever did call back. I'm starting to think that Comcast has an unofficial policy against issuing refunds, otherwise I can't explain why in 7 months I have not been able to receive my money back.
Please let me know if indeed the situation at Comcast is so dire that it requires the mobilization of every single dollar, even if that dollar doesn't belong to Comcast.
