Stupidity
I recently replaced a digital converter box with a real cable box because Comcast sends you the converter but it doesn't allow you to view the all of the channels you are paying for (Stupid #1).

Comcast mailed me the new box and the instructions in it were fairly clear, but didn't work because someone didn't set me up to get billed for it (Stupid #2).

I then spent forty minutes on hold because they were more concerned with getting the billing right (Poor Customer Service #1).

Today the cable box stopped working because it was no longer authorized. I was told it had not been "provisioned" properly (Stupid #3).

I then asked if I was still being billed for the converter which was no longer attached to anything. I was told I was (Stupid #4) I asked why not deauthorize it? Silence

I then asked if I could mail it back. I was told no that I would have to drive to a Comcast store. There is not a Comcast store where I live so I was told to drive two cities beyond where I live to return it.(Stupid #5 and God-Awful Customer Service). They mailed a box to me because it was convenient for them but I have to return it in the most inconvient way.

If anyone can offer me anything close to Comcast service I would gladly pay double because I want these idiots to go out of business. If they didn't have a monopoly, the American way would drive them to bankruptcy. Comcast ***!

Intermittent service for 9 months
Comcast on-demand and internet service has been intermittent for the past nine or more months. they recently charged me $50 for the last service that did not fix my problem. intermittent means not working when i want it to work. the technician did not check anything. he just replaced a splitter that they installed when i first got the service. for me to have to pay for wiring that they installed is like a slap in the face. i have had brighthouse (indianapolis) and had perfect service continously with two thirds less monthly fee. the only reason i now have comcast is because they are the only ones available in my apartment complex. i am currently looking for similar service from another vender and as soon as i find one i am forever through with the comcast (robbery)

I have serious problem with the way their customer service is handled
I have serious problem with the way their customer service is handled. I had always heard rumors about how crappy their customer service and just service in general is but I didn't believe it till now. How can they still be in business especially in this economy. I attempted to call customer service and the gentleman was no help at all nor would he transfer me to a manager when I asked. I received my first bill and well I'll just list the many issues I have with it:

1. I was quoted at $114.00 a month which included 3 boxes all with on demand and one with dvr. I only have two boxes, because they service tech forgot a box, 1 dvr 1 not and my bill came to $114.00, how is this possible. Can you have an infinite number of boxes for the same monthly price? The gentleman on the phone told me I had an HD box (which I never wanted or requested) and that it was more money. Then told me I WOULD need to drive it myself and exchange it out to get it fixed.

2. When I made my installation appointment I was told they would come Jan.2, I called Jan.2 after not receiving any sort of confirmation and to see if I could also request a router and modem. I was then told NO my appointment was Jan.6th but yes I could have a router and a modem. After dealing with a manager named Penny about the date screw up on their side for about 3 days, I was told I would get a $60.00 credit for the trouble. My bill only shows a $20.00 credit. Then the man showed up for the appointment with no router. So I have not had wireless internet at all!

3.I was also told when I called to set up my appointment that they would be able to install cable into a room even if it didn’t have a cable outlet. On the date of my appointment I was told no that is not possible I don't have a technician with me. When I called to make my second apt. so that a technician could come I was then told no, they don't do that anymore.

In the two weeks that I have had Comcast I have already had to call you guys twice for technical service issues regarding my HBO then for the On demand.

incomplete commercials
i almost don't know why i am comlaining about not seeing enough commercial but comcast cuts about fifty percent of thier advertiser's commercials in half. i know if i was paying a company who knows how much money to air my ad's and they cut them off with thier own ad's most of the time i would be sueing the heck out of them. while i'm on the commercial topic. i recently noticed while watching a prorgam on on-demand that an hour long program is really only one half hour the other half is all commercials. i only noticed because they cut the commercails for on-demand and it only takes a half hour to match an hour long show. cable is such a scam these days. comcast gets payed lots of cash for airing commercials and then over charges us to watch mostly commercials. at least with vhf and uhf we didnt have to pay to watch commercials. its not like there is alot more to watch on cable.

I am having a real problem with Comcast customer service. I signed up with comcast and even though the service seems to work well sometimes when the service is not working i cant get anyone on the phone to answer my questions.

Could someone at Comcast plrase get in touch with me about a question i have for you.

High charges for internet connection
I have taken comcast internet connection using comcastspecial.com website. At the time of taking service I was offered 19.99 promotional offer for first 6 months, but when the service was installed comcast started charging 57.95 per month. Now it's been almost 4 months i have been following up with customer service at comcastspecial.com. They finally told me that the promotional offer is not available in that particular area. If it was not available in that area then why they did sell it in the first place. There customer service was really pathetic. I called them very often and they kept on saying that their supervisor will call me next few hours but she never called me. Now I called Comcast and they reduced my price to 24.95 for first 6 months starting today. I was really disappointed by comcastspecial.com website and their customer service. I feel cheated. I am not sure what can I do about this.

scary tactics
The day after a Comcast door to door sales person came to my door I found a flash drive apparently dropped in front of my house. Although I do not know who dropped it, on it was personal information in the form of the billing statements of people that had OTHER cable/phone, including Qwest, Verizon, and AT&T. Seems suspicious and I wonder how that info was obtained. The info included their names, addresses, phone numbers and account numbers along with their service and billed amount.
My conclusion was that the Comcast person had it for information in order to solicit new customers.
Am I being paranoid??

Almost every weekend we have up to 12 hrs outage
Comcast continues to have extended internet service in the Woodlands TX. Today it was out all day. Almost every weekend we have up to 12 hrs outage. this is really frustrating. All other utilites continue why can't Comcast's internet service. this is like a third world country.

failed to honor rebate offer
Comcast Triple Play was ordered 10/20/2009. With this plan a $275 gift card was to be sent. The stipulations were: 90 days of service from Comcast, rebate request forms, confirmation # for Comcast service.

All info was sent and time line was adhered too. I also kept copies of what I sent. It is now May, and there does not seem to be a way to contact them. The rebate forms refers to Digital Landing, independently operated by Acceller, INC working with Comcast. The rebate is to be an Amazon $275 gift card by email from Digital Landing. Apparently other folks are dealing with this scam. Please advise of any legal action being taken.

Their technician screwed up my cable when repairing my neighbor's service yesterday
Their technician screwed up my cable when repairing my neighbor's service yesterday. The technician blew me off when I told him. So I called to schedule for service for me last night. They confirmed a service call for 9-11 this morning. No one showed, so I called at 11:45 am and was told that THEY rescheduled me for Monday. They didn't think that they needed to tell me! Now they're coming from 7-11 TONIGHT. This isn't the first time, they're consistently off the mark on customer service.
