Rebate Offer
When I signed-up for Comcast cable, I was offered a $100 modem rebate. To date, I can not get through to access the status of my refund.

Forced sale on unwilling buyer
My complaint is that now Comcast has salespeople canvassing neighborhoods & strongarming people into signing up for their services. They came by my house earlier yesterday & my mom answered the door. There were 2 guys, but only one came up at first. He tried to get my mother to sign up with the Triple Play program, which she doesn't want. (We've discussed it & there are more cons than there are pros about signing up.) The guy then called up the 2nd guy & the 2 of them proceeded to tag team her with sales pitches for about 1-2 hours until she finally gave in & signed up. It was pretty much them holding her hostage & brainwashing her until she said yes. They weren't leaving until they made their sale.
I called them later on that night (I work at night, so I was asleep while this was going on), only to have the guy get nasty to me on the phone. He started saying "your mom said you were such a nice girl..." and things to that nature, basically saying that I was being a b*tch for telling him that we didn't want it. He tried giving me the sales pitch & I had to repeatedly tell him no. I finally had to just hang up on him. I'm going to the Comcast office tomorrow to complain & to ensure that they don't sign us up for services we don't want.
If I could, I'd get cable & internet somewhere else. Comcast is seriously making me mad with this. We've got a lot of elderly people in my neighborhood & it sickens me to think that these two fast talkers scammed & manipulated some of the naive elderly people into signing up for such an expensive service!

poor service/overcharging billing/no support
SINCE AUGUST OF 2008, I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH OUR INTERNET AND CABLE SERVICE.COMCAST HAS SENT OUT OVER NINE(9) TECH.TO FIX THESE PROBLEMS AND STILL CHARGED MY ACCOUNT.THESE PROBLEMS CONSISTED OVER THE NEXT 5TO 6 MONTHS WHILE COMCAST CONTINUED TO BILL ME FOR SERVICES THEY KNEW I WASN'T RECEIVING.ON DEC 27 OF 2008, THEY SENT A TECH OUT WHO REPLACED THE THREE MODEMS THEY HAD PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED AND TO MAKE THE SYSTEM WORK, HE HAD TO INSTALL A NON SECURE INTERNET SITE.COMCAST CONTINUED TO CHARGE MY ACCOUNT.I HAVE CALLED IN THE COMCAST PHONE SYSTEM OVER 15 TIMES TRYING FIRST TO CORRECT THE SERVICE AND NOW TO CORRECT THE BILLING.I THINK THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF AN AMERICAN COMPANY LOSING THERE BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND ASK THAT COMCAST STOP WITH THERE BLATANT ACTIONS OF TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THERE LOYAL CUSTOMERS IN THE NAME OF HIGHER PROFITS.THIS IS ONE OF THE MAIN REASON MADE IN AMERICA IS LOSING IT'S EFFECT AS A BRAND.FINALLY MY BILL WAS SUPPOSE TO BE NO MORE THAN 116.00 DOLLARS AA MONTH.I HAVE PAID COMCAST SINCE DEC.27 THRU FEB OVER 500.00 AND THE STILL CLAIM I OWE MORE THAN 600.00 DOLLARS.COMCAST I THINK IT'S TIME THAT YOU STAND BEHIND THE STANDARDS THAT MADE YOU ONE OF THE LEADING CABLE COMPANIES AND NOT ACT LIKE THE WALL STREET CEO'S WHO ARE TAKING THIS COUNTRY DOWN.SIGNED TIRED OF BEING ABUSED!!!

Overcharge for not existing services
Comcast charge me the balance of $281.97
for the billing period, from 12-10-2008
to 01-09-09, in the mean time I request disconnect the service on 12-09-08 because they raise the charges ffrom $145.96 to $281.97 which mentioned above they cut the service the same minute I called untill 12-27-08
Again, The period of 12-09-08 to 12-27-08 I did not have any bussiness with them
after many phon calls I have the service back on 12-27-2008 for almost the same rate I have it befor $ 158.00 almost, January, and February 2009 had been payed, but comcast still bill me for the period I do not have service with them the amount of $281.97, I tried to contact them many many time by phone, and by email but no body care all what I got is promise to investigate the account and get back by explanation, and correction, I am very disappointed, and I am not happy because I was wasting my time when I spoke with their Customer Services, and all what I get acumulation of the bills carring the same fals charge of $281.97, please I need some body who care solve that and get back to me by mail thank you.

Misrepresentation of Pricing
Comcast's door-to-door salesperson misrepresented the pricing for the services he was offering and the savings I would be getting over my current provider. I even called Comcast's sales department to verify the amount. When I received my first bill, it was more than I was told it would be AND it was only a 6-month promotion after which the cost would increase substantially. This was NEVER disclosed by either sales person I spoke with. I contacted a Supervisor at Comcast and she told she could only put me into a lesser quality package with fewer services if I wanted to stay with the original prices quoted.
Comcast is dishonest and misrepresents their products to make them look like a good deal and to get you to switch from your current carrier.

Fraud and cheating
I have been getting comcast cable and internet for the past 3 years. Its the only cable company in my area, and I can't get a dish because I'm in an apartment. I also don't want internet from the phone company because I don't have a land line. So I don't have a lot of options.
Every so often, my monthly bill will mysteriously increase. I call the company and they tell me its because I had a promotional rate and the time period for the promotion is over. I believed this THE FIRST TIME. But this has happened THREE TIMES. When I told them that I used to have a promotional rate and they already increased my rate, they just say the same thing back to me. They don't have an answer. So their explanation is what? I had a promotional rate, the increased my rate but it was STILL A PROMOTIONAL RATE and then that promotion ran out so my rate increased AGAIN! That doesn't make any sense.
Another thing is, I asked two different customer service representatives at two separate times if I had the MOST BASIC cable and the SLOWEST internet, because I just wanted the most basic of both so I could keep my bill down. They told me YES both times, that I do have the slowest internet and most basic cable.
So I leave it the way it is. But with the rate increases, I finally decide to CANCEL my internet service. This increases my internet rate by 25 dollars a month, which I think is ridiculous but its worth it in order to lower my overall bill.
ONLY WHEN I SAY I'M GOING TO CANCEL DO THEY TELL ME THE TRUTH. Apparently, I didn't have the slowest internet OR the most basic cable. I can go down a notch on both of these. So that's what I did. I have a reasonable rate right now, that they claim is not a promotional rate, but I didn't think that ever so often, my rates would be increasing due my 'promotional rate' running out. That's the kind of thing that should only happen ONCE, if ever.

Fraud and scam
In 2003 I sold my condo and bought a house. I called Comcast to transfer service and they informed me that I would have to close my account and then open a new one and also drop the box off at their local office.
I opened the new account, closed the old, and dropped off the box.
In 2006, I decided to refinance my home. My credit score came in low so I ordered a report. Sure enough, Comcast is on it. I call Comcast and spend at least 4 hours dealing with them. No one knew which department handled it. Finally someone said that they would fix it for me. They placed the mark on it because they said I didn't return the box. The rep said I just needed to bring the receipt in showing that I returned the box. I said fine, but I wanted a apology letter and a letter stating that is was wrongly put on my credit and also for them to fix the mark.
I get to Comcast and after waiting in a seriously long line, I was met by a attitude ridden employee. She makes a copy of the receipt and says they will send me the info later. I try and talk to a supervisor to no avail. Now, 2009 rolls around and I get a credit report and there is comcast again. They never fixed the report nor did I ever receive the letters requested.

rip off
after seeing an ad on tv last month about comcast internet. I called and was told it would be $14.99 a month for the next 6 months and that if I came into the service center and picked up a self installation kit I would not have to pay the $50 installation fee they charge to send someone to your home to hook it up. so I when 2 counties over(I live in a rual area.) stood in line for 2 hours and came home with a modem that did not work. I had to call comcast 3 times and a tech had to keep resetting the modem from his computer. Finally I have the slowest internet since dial-up. Got my first bill yesterday and guess what $87.13!!! I called and after 32 minutes on hold I got a very nice woman who was well trained in double talk. she tells me that my introductory rate is not $14.99 but $29.99 a month but this still doesn't explain the bill because I got the internet the last week in january. after 30 minutes on hold and 4 minutes of talking in circles I got no answers and the polite brush off. anyone else have this problem?????

I’m hoping that you can enlighten me regarding my current situation.
I had to explain to my children ( 3yrs & 6yrs old) why our premier line-up had been terminated and unavailable for their viewing. If you have children then you can appreciate that losing Spongebob for even one day was met with great unhappiness. However, over the week-end my girls adjusted to public broadcasting just fine. Imagine my surprise when my toddler told me this morning that she was watching Disney.
During prior correspondence we’ve established that not only was an official resolution not executed, but the suggested “promotion” mentioned by Frank was neither detailed nor met with great enthusiasm on my part due to extensive negative incidents.
Today I have the premier package. Friday this was terminated before I could hang up my phone.
Today, Monday feb.16th, Comcast continues to lack quality communication skills not only between employees but extends this inadequacy to their customers.
I would like to know why my service has been restored since I did not authorize this and prior to the week-end I have received basic cable. Since I am left in the dark, yet again regarding Comcast’s actions I would appreciate an explanation.

I have just found out due to billing at Comcast that Frank Eliason authorized a “promotional” package with Comcast at 10:41a.m. on sat. feb.14th 2009 without my knowledge or authorization. I was not contacted by any member of Comcast until Saturday evening when a “promotion” was offered in a short email mentioning only a monthly discount.. I was told by Comcast that I would be contacted on Monday feb.16th to discuss this promotion. At this time I have yet to receive any details of this package that Frank Eliason authorized. I have not been contacted at any time by Comcast to validate the initiation of this “promotional” package.

Another rebate scam
I am another victim of this rebate scam. When I ordered I was given an order number for rebate. I have contact BBB and Comcast states that I did not order correct products for rebate. This is so unfair that they can get away with this over and over again.
