Disconnects
For the past several months, my internet provider Comcast has been disconnecting me at exactly 4AM every morning. It lasts for up to 60 seconds and starts working again. It disrupts everything I am trying to do at the time and is very frustrating.
I am hoping that maybe one day, they'll be a massive law suit against Comcast for screwing with their customers like this.

can't find my rebate
I was hooked up to cable last year and was told I would get a rebate check for 200 dollars, I have waited the 8 to 12 weeks and now they don't have any record of me getting a rebate coming who do I speak with?

Terrible company
I signed up for service and was promised a 66.00 per month deal with $225 in rebates. That was August 1st of 08. After we were connected the first issue started, Comcast couldn't keep the offer of $66 per month and it went up to &75.
It is now almost Feb 1st. Yes, you guessed it NO rebate. I have made several phone calls and have received the run around. Anything from they will be mailed on Jan 5th. I made a phone call today to find out where the check is as its now Jan 27th and NO check. I the first phone calls reason for no check was that I was for some reason not in the system. To the latest reason after another phone call to I was calling the wrong place and that's why I was not in the system despite the prior statement in Dec that it was going to be mailed Jan 5th.
I'm not sure how Comcast is doing business with this company but I can tell you I will NEVER have cable from Comcast ever again. We are a Dish family now!
DON'T fall for this SCAM!

Awful company
So, I'm sure there are several reports on here for the scam artist also known as Comcast. Let me tell you my story.
My family and I signed up for Comcast's 'triple play'. Phone, internet and cable television. We got a 6 month promotional deal. It was great. We had free on demand, etc. Before our 6 month trial was up, we called them and told them we wanted to down grade our cable to basic only. We didn't want to pay those outrageous prices once the 'promotion' was up. They took the information and confirmed. The next bill we got, they HAD NOT adjusted what we requested. Our bill was for well over $200. We then called Comcast, spoke to a very nice gentleman who apologized and told us to only pay what our new service required. We did that.
Next month comes along. We get our next bill. Guess what?! Now we have a past due balance of the difference we didn't pay on our last bill. (Because we were told it was their error and we didn't have to) We called again. This time, a very nice woman told us she saw the error, was taking it off of our account and our billing would be right after this. She also saw that we were not on a bundle deal. She told us we should be on this so called bundle deal and readjusted our account.
Next bill comes. AGAIN we have a past due amount and now it says we must pay in 10 days or our service will be interrupted. Are you kidding me?! We called AGAIN. This time, the gentleman (keep in mind we've now spoken to different people every time we've called) and he said he would adjust it and have a manager call us since we were having such a hard time with our billing. The manager did finally call. 5 days later, on a Sunday night while we were out. No message was left. All we had was an 800 number on our caller ID.
We called back one last time. This time we were not as pleasant as we had been the previous 4 or 5 times. We didn't get anywhere. It was 'pay the bill or your service will be cut off'. I now owe Comcast over $300.00. Most of this bill is the 'past due' balance for something we never had/have nor will we have in the future. We are going to pay it and then get the hell out of dodge using Comcast. I can't believe 4 different people told us they got the error fixed and each bill after that was never fixed.
I am so tired of huge empire companies doing whatever they want. I saw a news report about a month ago regarding Comcast. Some poor sole was being charged a $2000 bill by Comcast. WOW. How does this company get away with all of this?! I'm paying for something I never had. Pure profit for Comcast while they run to the bank laughing.
It sickens me!!

e-maill access
Comcast changed their e-mail system to Smart Zone. It took over a week before I was able to access my e-mail at home and it has been over 2 weeks that I can't access it from work. they keep telling me it is my error but I have talked with several other people at work who are having the exact same problem. then they tell me to go through Mozilla, which has not been approved by my workplace and I am unable to download it. Not unless I want to get into trouble with the IT Staff!!! Even though I am paying for it, I have no access to my e-mail at work and had no choice to as they they, "continually improve thier services by upgrading". Gee, it's really a downgrade for me and my monthly bill is the only thing being "upgraded".

Worst company ever
Our area is unfortunate to only have Comcast as the only internet/Cable/ Phone company. They have tortured us mentally and we can't just deal with it. We disconnected the service back in April and decided to stay without and they are still billing us over $300.00 from their collections for their things that we returned. We have called tons of times and we are lied to that the issue should be resolved in thirty days, just to receive another bill from Comcast collections. Who can we talk to because we are tired of their customer service that no-one seems to know what they are doing and their records seem to be different depending on who you talk to. C'mon Comcast, it feels like service in the middle of the Amazon, wake up.

Overcharged
We usually pay are bill online. This last month when we went to pay our bill we entered the bank information and the website cam back with an error and told us to try later. The next day we went back onlin and made a "successful" payment. A few days later we should two charges from Comcast on our bank statement. We contacted Comcast and they told us they were unable to reverse the direct deposit payment. Finding this unexceptable we got online and "chatted" with an analyst. He told us he could make a credit or bank card. After a week with no credit to out card I got online and "chatted" with another analyst. She informed me that it would take 10-15 days for this credit to show because the finance department had to confirm that they received the money. So now it has been two weeks since this error occurred and we probably won't receive a credit for another two weeks. By this time are next bill will be due.

Worst customer service I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
I scheduled an installation vie their online chat for January 7th 2009, between 830am and 11am. At noon on this day I called Comcast because I had not heard from the technician. I was informed that my install date was actually January the 11th. I asked how was it that the on-line chat person told me the 7th but the call center shows it as the 11th? I was told they had no idea and that they do not have access to the online infromation or vice versa. I had taken the morning off from work and now evidently for nothing.
So I reschedule for the 12th since I was unable to be their on the 11th.
On the moring of the 12th I get a phone call saying that they cannot be there as scheduled and were running late. When they finally showed up, around 1230pm they spent an hour installing my internet only to tell me that the modem was not any good, they did not have another modem in their truck, they were out of modems in the local office and it might be a few days til they received more modems. The kicker was they modem they had had been sent out for service prior and never check to ensure it was working properly. I called the 800 number and was told there was nothing they could do. Terrible buisness practices!

Bad service
Im tired of watching the same movies from the 70's and 80's there are enough new up to date movies to air. when the channels go out the bills keep coming. there are so many hbo sho max starz etc channels what since does it make to show the same movie on all the same subscribed channels.
Im so irritatated by this and im about ready to try another cable company. start showing the newer movies and lower the rates these prices for these services are an outrage. we have the old movies on vhs for crying out loud.

Terrible everything
Comcast was my provider for internet, cable, and phone. I was paying for a bundle package in the amount of $114 a mth. But they were charging me 50 extra a mth. for the digital boxes and sports package, that I could get all included in the price at dish network. So I contacted them and they told me that the double play package is $52.90 so I went with the dish thinking I would be saving money. Guess what, NO I AM NOT they told me because I am an existing customer that I can not get the double play deal at $52.90 WHAT? I have been a customer for 4 years and they want to charge me $90 a mth. for internet and phone services. I can not believe it that they want to charge me that much as an existing customer this is the treatment
I get for being a loyal 4 year customer to them and I have been paying almost 200 monthly bills to them. I was furious about this when you contact them you get so many different answers from all there employees that seem to be not trained very well. I just can't believe they would rather lose my business than give me a good rate to stay with them. Comcast sucks! The internet goes out all the time and runs like dial up at times. It is the worst internet I have ever had in my 33 years of life. I refuse to deal with their nickle and dimming me any more. I canceled my services to them and told them I will do everything in my power not to have them as my provider for anything ever again.
Anyone interested in saving money do not sign up with them without doing your homework first because once you are a customer of theirs they no longer care about you. They just want to suck you in and then charge you for everything!
