Poor service and billing issues!
Had to pay 91.13 upfront for my install of home phone and high speed internet. 8 install dates, 3 no shows, without a phone or home alarm system for 1 month. Was told I would have my install payment credited back to me. Had my home phone for 1 week(requiring a cable going across my living room floor hooking into the modem in a different room) when I got the bill for a month. I was double charged for my internet plus charged a different amount than promised. I have a hole in my wall that needs repairing after Vee one of the installers damaged it trying to get the phone working. After her and her supervisor came out she admitted that she had messed everything up. I got a call yesterday about my bill. If they would refund the 91.13 and 49.99(double charged internet)plus 19.99 (amount over the promotional price promised) then I wouldn't even owe them. I was also told I would receive a refund for the 3 days of no shows for 20.00 each day. They would still owe me after credited back everything. They will probably cut my phone off due to no payment. I am furious that companies get away with this type of behavior.I have sent a letter to Comcast corporate which the certified signature is simply a line. NO-ONE cares at this company. I spoke with Evelyn again last week and she told me she never said anything about refunding me. I told her I thought she drank if she didn't remember. I then left a message for her boss Doug Powell and still no call back. Corporate people care as much as the installers, not one bit.

Customer Horror
After spending more than 30 hours on the phone with Comcast in the past 6 months I truly believe they don't care about their customers . The Services team is a joke if you call about the same subject 3 times you get 3 different answers ...

Please let's unite together and show Comcast that they should be paying more attention to their customers !

Brian L. Roberts , their CEO, is making 15 Million Dollars per year on a highly profitable operation , we are paying for this and they really don't care about us .

They are loosing me today ! Good bye Comcast !

Triple play scam!
If Comcast was to be rated 1-10 with 10 being the highest, they have earned a 0. That's right, Comcast gets a Big... zero. Comcast was scheduled originally to set up my Triple Play July 17, 2007. On the third attempt (August 23, 2007) all thiree services (cable TV, Internet and digital voice) were set up - with the exception of digital voice. Digital voice was connected but the service was waiting to transfer from AT&T.

After speaking to an AT&T representative (September 20, 2007) I was informed that our phone service with AT&T was disconnected on August 21,2007. This is only important to point out the deception by Comcast.

In short, the $99 per month triple play service jumped to $312.98 due to some very mysterious charges. After speaking to Comcast, the charges were lowered to $104.75.

Comcast's billing is very confusing, their customer service is still a BIG 0.

Stay away from Comcast!
My fiance & I got the Triple Play package (digital cable, high speed internet, & digital phone), which seemed like a great deal.Well, it is, until they decide to bill you double sometimes. We called & asked why (we weren't late at all on a payment), & they said that they reserve the right to charge for the month ahead when they want to. They didn't tell us that when we signed up, of course. So anyway, we moved, & we were quite shocked to get a bill of about $300.00! They said that it's the fee for moving. Again, they didn't tell us that at the time. But here's the worst part-we paid a bit extra every month for a private listing, because I have a crazy ex-husband (I've even had a PFA against him, & on behalf of my daughter, who he's threatened to kill as an infant). Well, what did we see when we got the new phone book? My name, number, & address, listed for everyone to see! We had to move, again, because of Comcast !They're still bugging us to pay our last month, but there's no way in hell they'll get another dime from me.Not in this lifetime.

Loss of internet signal!
Approximately 6 weeks ago, I began to have problems with Comcast's high speed internet and still do to this day. I completely lose the internet signal at random times a day, several times a day. Sometimes, I get service back within a few minutes, but most of the time, the only way to get back online is to completely turn off the computer, unplug everything, wait a few minutes and reboot.

I called Comcast and made an appointment to get it fixed. Well, the day of my first appointment, no one showed. I called and was told that Comcast was able to fix the problem and thus they canceled. Of course no one called to me to let me know they were canceling and no, my problem was not fixed. This scenario occurred THREE times. Finally, a tech came out and told me that my modem probably has a short, but that the modems on his truck are in worse condition than what I already have so he wouldn't swap them out. He recommended that I sign up for the phone service because then Comcast will give me a new modem. He then left, and I still had the same problem. I immediately called and made another appointment and emphasized that they will need to bring a functioning modem with them. The guy comes, checks everything, says he has no idea why I am losing a signal, and that sorry, he does not have a modem with him. I call and make another appointment. This guy comes out, and changes an ethernet cord and tells me that it is all fixed. Ten minutes after he leaves, my internet goes down again. I called again and was told that if I get the phone service my problem will be fixed. I really, really want my internet back so stupid me, I sign up for it. First installation appointment comes and no show. I make another appointment, and this guy comes out and says that since the work order is wrong, they cant port my number and that I will have to make another appointment to get it installed. I make a third appointment (I really want my internet back). The guy comes and the work order is wrong again. He calls for help and sits on the phone for ~ an hour trying to correct the work order. Finally I am so frustrated, I tell him that I don't want the phone service any longer. I figured they would just have to fix my internet without forcing me to sign up for the phone service. A week later, I get my bill, and you got it, I was charged for phone installation and a month of phone service. Calling to get my bill corrected was a nightmare. The first person I talked to insisted that I give him the serial number off the phone modem that was NEVER installed. I guess he got mad that I wouldn't give him the number off the invisible modem because he hung up on me. Finally after 4 hours on the phone my bill was corrected (at least that was what I was told...we shall see)

As for the internet, I was still having trouble so I called for help again. This time the guy told me that I had to go to a comcast store and pick up my own modem. Did so, but of course the store didn't have any available. They told me to sign up for the phone service if I wanted a new modem. I called customer service again. This tech told me the only way I was going to get the internet problem fixed was to 1) get the phone service and thus a new modem, 2) buy my own modem but then Comcast wont service my house (but they don't anyways), or 3) go to a comcast store and pick up one there. Was he not listening?? Cid he not read my notes?? What a joke!!

Needless to say, I still am losing the internet signal. However, the problem seems to be escalating. It is really annoying to have to power cycle many times a day and I am sick of spending HOURS and HOURS on the phone with inept technicians who really do not care. I HATE COMCAST!!!

Of course like most areas, Comcast is the only provider of high speed internet in my town. Customer service really is not important when you have a monopoly!

No help from Comcast
With all the talk and apprehension about TV becoming digital or high-definition only in 2009, one would think that Comcast would be sending out information to its customers on what to expect, what to plan for, whether they need to get a new TV, etc. But so far, not a word. Now is when the thinking and planning needs to be done, but Comcast is being no help so far.

Poor service!
I have both Comcast Digital HDTV and Internet "service." I have lived in my current home since 1980. I've had more service outages with Comcast in the last 3 months than all my other utilities COMBINED since 1980. Every evening, the digital tv freezes for minutes at a time. The internet goes in and out all day long.

I pay $140 a month. I've had techs out a dozen times. Every tech has a different opinion. I've had amplifiers put on and taken off. The underground cable has been replaced twice. Calling 404 - COMCAST results in wait times as long as an hour. I assume it's because a good many of Comcast's customers have similar problems. Once you finally get through, a service call is scheduled several days in the future. They call right before they are scheduled to arrive. If you just happen to be on the phone when they call and they get a busy signal, they simply cancel the appointment! My wife & I work out of our home and require broadband service. We contacted ATT today and will be switching to DSL next week. I will be contacting my local government cable franchise representative and suggest a new cable company be allowed to replace Comcast. They truly don't give a damn about their product and customer service.

No customer service from comcast!
I was having trouble with my digital phone. I tried to call the Comcast but no response. Every i connect it says "please hold and representative will contact you " . I tried hours together to get connected but failed. It became nightmare for me to contact the comcast. I decided to disconnect finally. The customer service in Comcast is horrible.

Can't buy own box
Well I bought their digital cable and internet since they have a special promotion but when it comes to getting a cable box for my tv, the only option that I have is to rent their box. So if I rent their box the whole time I have service with them, I'm loosing money. Other companies like Yahoo DSL or what are they now, AT&T, sells their boxes or I can just grab one from Best Buys or Fry's as an option but not Comcast. They don't sell cable box and if I buy a cable box from ebay, they told me that it doesn't work either cause the serial number that I have is not on their list. This is not fair to consumers. They're already a monopoly as it already and we are stuck with no options whatsoever. Well another option is to get a cable discrambler but that's illegal so basically Comcast wants the consumers to cheat in order to get service. I'm thinking that I'm not the only one who has this dilemma. Please help. Thank you.
