Hi there,
My business has been using CommitCRM for a few years now; and in the beginning it was nice. however, every year i want to start with a new clean database, and they won't let me do it. the only options they give me are as follows:
1) suffer the old data forever
2) delete each database item 1-by-1 (which never works because the database loses stability long before i finish; causing the server not to work.
3) Buy a completely new system at full price (with users and licenses)
Now, i've just spent nearly $3, 000 just to get my database cleaned out, even though they keep telling me that there's a feature request that will the user to clear the database.
Another main problem is the database. It's a slow, makeshift, cheap database that causes indexing errors and loss of data unless i rebuild the indexes every night. the explanation i got from Commit was that i have too many clients or employees and that i need to pay another $1, 000 for a slightly better database made by the same cheap manufacturers (Sybase, i think... it's called Advantage Database Server). The problem here is that if i could choose my own database which i have open access to, then that could've gotten me passed the clearing databases stage from the DB backend.
CommitCRM always claim that the features that are released are based on user feedback, i'm here to tell you that's a lie. the features that they release get chosen based on what their 2 man development team KNOWS how to do. Every time i talk to Sheli Kopilovitch (technical Services) or Maayan Porat (CEO CommitCRM), they tell me that it'll be added to the next release, and they give me a discounted upgrades subscription (another wasted $350) which is also bullshit because they promise 4 new versions every year, and in the last 2 years we only got 1 maybe 2 patches to the system.
I've already gotten a demo with ConnectWise, and their customer services are spectacular in comparison to CommitCRM. They have actual people to talk to; and not just email correspondence which they never get because of their overglorified spammer settings. They have no office in the united states or anywhere else within the northwestern hemisphere, they're located in Soudi Arabia or something like that (they get really shady when you ask them about where they are located or how many employees are in the company, which i think are reasonable questions because i want to be sure that CommitCRM don't disappear on me with my updates or go) ; meaning that CommitCRM are not regulated by better business protocols, and getting any kind of return from them do to the client crashes is impossible. These people don't even know how to support their own system. I've had the CEO (Maayan Porat) try to fix the "extra database" which was causing the crashes for hours. In the end; he screwed up my server's registry which is bad since that server was running additional services.
The Reports builder in the software hasn't been touched by CommitCRM's development team ever since they came out with their first versions. This is problematic because CommitCRM employees are the only ones who know how to handle such a cumbersome process.
I'm afraid i'll be leaving Maayan and Sheli and the rest of the CommitCRM community for greener pastures. I just wanted to give the heads-up about this "business" or "Fraud" as i like to call it. so that nobody get's stuck in their web of broken promises, because you'll never get out.
I'd also be really interested to hear if i'm the only one that is feeling left out with an outdated, featureless CRM system, so let me see your comments so to make sure that i am not biased.
With Regards,
Beth Dixon
