negligence
To Whom it concern, My name is Lorraine Wise I was a patient of Dr. Ramesh Sabapathi back in 2005. I first went to him because I was very concerned about my failing health. Back in 2005 I saw Dr. Sabapathi advised him that I was losing weight very rapidy along with upset stomaches, nausea, and major fatigue. Dr. Sabapathi first took a blood test from me back during my second or third visit. About two weeks later returned for the results. I was told that I had HIV. This doctor sent me home with no treatment whatsoever. I continued to go back to this Dr. every week for six months. During that time all he gave me was some kind of depression medicine and sent me home over and over again. In Febuary of 2006 I became so sick that I thought that I was close to dying. I left my work and returned to Dr. Sabapathi again. When I walked in his office his receptionist took one look at me and said God Lorraine you look terrible and I think that you should see the other doctor here named Dr. Kheterphal instead because he is more thorough. I said please I am so sick I hope I get help. I did not know what was happening to me other than the fact that Iwent from 150 lbs to 108 lbs in less that 6 months. When I was seen that day, Dr. Kheterphal asked me why in Gods name was I not sent for any anti-viral treatment? I said what is that? I thought I was being treated by Dr. Sabapathi". Dr. Ketherphal told me to sit out front and he would make an emergency appointment for me at Bon Secure Hospital. The same day I went to the hospital and was told that I was lucky I came in then. They told me I had a 37 T-Cell count any was pretty close to death. They also advised me that it would be hard to get me to be able to tolorate a regiment of meds. For the life of me I can't and will never understand how that Dr. Sabapathi could allow me to get so terrible sick because he failed to send me for proper care. He let me go for six months without any help at all, but continued to take $20.00 per week from me co-payments. Had I never seen the other doctor in his office that I may not be here right now to tell you about this. How could that man pay God with my life? Was it not worth saving? My wish is to stop him from ever playing russian roulette again with another life. I hope you will investigate. this thoroughly. I can supply any needed medical records and doctors that treated for the last 4 years. I can be reached at 443-799-5556 or by mail at 321A Wise Ave. Dundalk MD. 21221 Sincerely, Lorraine Wise
