Complete Savings Reviews

This is a Scam
I noticed an unusual "Complete Savings" charge of $12.00 on my credit card. I called Complete Savings at the number listed after the charge. At my request they immediately canceled my membership and refunded my money. They have an automated membership cancellation option but you have to talk to a person (Dial Zero) in order to get your money refunded. The customer service rep was very nice but a scam artist is still a scam artist.

What bothers me is how Complete Savings got my credit card info in the first place.

What I learned was Performance Bike www.performancebike.com gave them my credit card information.

At some point during a Performance online sale you are offered the option to join "Complete Savings". You may opt in and assume that Complete Savings is a Performance Bike savings program. You would be WRONG!!! Complete Savings is a completely separate company from Performance.

You don't enter any credit card info after you opt in so what's the worst that could happen? More junkmail? WRONG AGAIN!!!

Performance has transferred your credit card information to Complete Savings.

Soon you will start seeing $12.00 charges from "Complete Savings"

Now you have to call Complete Savings and cancel your membership. Hopefully they refund your money as they did mine.

Providing 3rd parties with credit card information resulting in unauthoried charges
I ordered from Pizza Hut and others have ordered from FTD Florist, JC Whitney Tiger Direct, Vista Print and clicked a box requesting that they send you coupons and discounts information and suddenly started receiving $12.00 monthly charges? Where did these companies get access to our credit card information?

It turns out when you order online at these companies they supply your credit card info to a 3rd party company, in this case, COMPLETE SAVINGS, and they start charging you a monthly fee for discounts you never get on products you never order. The way it works: the Pizza Hut site offers you money off your order for filling out a survey. The survey is much longer than you expect. when you click out of it, it signs you up as agreeing to Terms and Conditions, which is a lie. Then Pizza Hut gives your credit card info to a company you never heard of.

I am looking to put together a group of individuals who have had their credit card charged through COMPLETE SAVINGS and are interested in putting a stop to these types of fraudulent practices.

While the Senate Commerce Committee is investigating these practices, as consumers, we have the right to sue the merchants directly. If you have been wronged and interested to participate in a class action, please reply here or email me at [email protected].

Here are a few links to consumer complaints that have already been published to ripoffreports.com and other blog sites:

Credit card charge
A charge appeared on my credit card in September in the amount of $12.00 from Complete Savings. Rather that go directly to the telephone numer that appeared after the charge, I contacted my credit card company. They asked me to call Complete Savings. I said "No, I want to contest the charge." The credit card company called Complete Savings, and with the 3 of us on the phone together, Complete Savings stated they would credit the charge and there would not be any additional charge. They said I had taken a survey and had agreed to a subscription. That's a bunch of bull. I do not answer calls from 800 numbers. How they got my credit card number, I have no idea, but I do have a suspicion it was from an online purchase. This company is a sophisticated scam artist. Look at the complaints on the Internet.

Scam
Watch your step with "Cheaper Than Dirt"! I placed an order with cheaper Than Dirt. Two weeks later I get a charge on my credit card for $12.00 then another $12.00. I was signed up to a membership with a company called Complete Savings. I called this company 1-800-826-1885 out of the state of CT., I was told i was signed up through Cheaper the Dirt. "Complete Savings" is a SCAM company. "Cheaper Than Dirt" assists in the SCAM by providing your personal information and CREDIT CARD info to "Complete Savings". There are many HONEST merchants on the web, "Cheaper Than Dirt" isn't one of them. Take your business elsewhere.

Complete Savings
Complete Savings was attached to Tigerdirect.com. Again was the save 10.00 on the next purchase and now 12.00 a month on my credit card... If a "save $10 on your next purchase" pops up after any tranaction online DO NOT FILL IT OUT!! It is a scam. Not sure if it has anything to do with all of the retailers mentioned on these complaints. But they too should be complaining!!

Unauthorized charges to my debit card!
I purchased mothers day flowers for my mom and grandma from FTD.com. At the end of my transaction, i was offered a $10 savings on my next order. I accepted the coupon. now, after a few months, I balance my checkbook, and I have these charges from this company!!!

When I do some research on the company, I find their website, and call the number, there is even an option to unsubscribe from their service on their voice system! They know that they are scamming innocent people out of money! When I get a hold of a lady, she tells me she can only refund me the most recent charge and that is it! I am a single mother of 2 girls, every penny counts! I have been charges a total of $36.00 for trying to have a savings of $10. I will NEVER purchase flowers from ftd.com again, and I am reporting this to the better business bureau and the state's attorney's office.

Unauthorized access to account
I want to add my voice to those who have been robbed by Complete Savings. I, too, noticed an unauthorized debit of $12 on my credit card account from Complete Savings. After finding the complaints on this website, I called the company and demanded they recredit my account. They attempted to sell me on their services at this time, but I refused to listen and again, demanded they GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. They finally agreed. Considering how calm the call center woman remained in the wake of my anger, I imagine they receive calls like mine frequently.
I then called my bank and told STOP any and all attempts by this company to remove money from my account.
I then lodged a complaint with the BBB of CT. Complete Savings responded to my complaint with a letter laying all blame at my feet, saying I authorized this when I clicked on "Receive a $10 coupon off your next purchase" after buying Pizza Hut. Jerks. I will keep my complaint open.
I then went to the fbi internet fraud page and lodged a complaint.
My next step will be to contact a Consumer Protection Agency.

Woman Within
I placed an order with Woman Within on May 22. Apparently, at the time of that order, I was presented with a $10.00 off next order coupon. I believed that offer to be from Woman Within. However, it was from Complete Savings, who is in parntership with with Woman Within and multiple other businesses. By clicking on the coupon, Complete Savings was given access to all my credit/debit card information. I did not balance my checkbook in June, but caught they charge for July, that just recently posted. I called the 800 number and spoke with customer service. They were well versed in kindly refunding my money (12.00 per month) and apologizing for any misunderstanding, which angered me more. The owner and president of the company is WALTER DADEK and he can receive correspondence in his broom closet at WEBLOYALTY 101 Merrit 7 4th floor, Norwalk, Connecticut 06851. Let's all send him unauthorized and unsolicited responses to his unethical scam!

Unautorized charges
Complete Savings is affliated with Shoppers Discount. This month I had two charges of $12.00 for Complete Saving and Shoppers Discount. when I called Shopper Discount they got my c/c info from a site called eyes lips face (they sell make up). I got them to cancel my "membership" and refund my account will take 3-5 days. I then I called Complete Savings and they already knew that I had cancelle the Shoppers Discount 10 minutes eariler. This one didn't even have my name on it, but it had a coworker name and the company I worked for on it. We had ordered pizza from Pizza Hut at work and I used my card to pay for it and my coworker used her loggin on the site to order it and that is how that happened. I cancelled and requested a complete refund and she again said it will take 3-5 days to show up in my account.
