I was ripped off by CompuCampus College as well. They used obsolete outdated software and books for my program. Because they took the misleading statements about the Computer Graphic Design Program off their website they are still allowed to use the same software. The Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities state on their website Warning PCC “subsequent research shows that the majority of these programs are outdated and do not provide the graduate with employable skills”. The graduate being me. They also didn’t provide me with the twenty hours of weekly class time that was promised. I notified The Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities about them. There are two restraining orders and one financial penalty against them because of my report. They had withheld my diploma because of my complaints to them, but were forced by the MTCU to give it to me. They were penalized financially, they had offered modules without qualified instructors, they had to change the misleading wording on their website, they threatened to retroactively mark some of my courses as fail; their relocated London campus was up and running without the necessary approval, and offering vocational programs without being approved at that location. They are under ministry surveillance until July 30, 2010. Mine was not the only outdated programs there, but apparently no one else seems to have complained to the ministry. Otherwise there should have been warnings on the ministry site before. I have notified the Windsor and London Better Business Bureaus, The Windsor Star, Sean O’Shea, Dale Goldhawk, The Ontario Ombudsman, my local Member of Parliament, EI as well as Second Career Strategies and the MTCU.
