We have installed a CONE company lift in our apartment. After one year warranty period was over in Nov 2009. We delayed giving the annual maintenance contract. Meanwhile when lift was stopped working we requested Cone maintenance people to rectify the problem. They came and reported that the PCB has gone. They gave the quotation of RS 16000/- for the PCB and RS 35000/- for the transformer.
We asked them to replace the PCB with new one. Since we had a doubt we called an expert while they were replacing the PCB. After they replaced the PCB we asked them to remove the new one and put back the old one and test the working of the lift. First they refused to do this. But they did something and then showed that the lift is not working properly with an old PCB. Then the expert whom we invited noticed that only a small pin called jumper was removed by those service met to make an old PCB unfunctional. As soon as we placed the jumper back into the old PCB everything was working fine with the lift.
So our complaint is that this is a deliberate attempt to cheat the lift holders and charging heavy amount for them for no reason. Its a shameful that the reputed company people do these things. We request you to please take a strict action against these people.
