Conelyauto.com Reviews

Scam
I found a 2004 Chevy Classic with 40, 382 miles on it advertised on Cars.com. On Friday, February 20th, I called the dealership to see if the car was still available and the price was $6550.00. After learning that it was, I traveled to the dealership to test drive the car. At 4pm, a salesperson named Steve went to get the car keys and a plate. When we approached the vehicle, there was a tag pasted to the window with a price of $6550.00 on it but a tag hung from the drivers mirror with a price of $7550. Also, a large banner covered the exterior of the windshield blocking the $7550 price tag. Before test driving the vehicle, I wanted to get the price matter cleared up and Steve said the price was just raised $1000. The owner John Conely came out and I explained that the car is advertised on Cars.com and Conelyauto.com for $6550, and there is a price pasted on the side window for $6550., but why is a hidden sign for $7550. hanging there. He said all the Malibus were priced wrong and their prices have all been raised. I reiterated that the websites both showed a price of $6550. and so does the window sticker. John stated that the prices on the web are incorrect. I stated this was a classic bait and switch to get people to the dealership. John stated that I didnt need to purchase a car from him. I have printed out a copy of the Cars.com ad showing the $6550. price of the vehicle.
