I was with Confidus for about 2.5 years. The first 6 months with Confidus were good, after that, it was nothing but problems. I had about 10 accounts with them on different servers. We had problems almost WEEKLY. 8 hour down times were common. As I started moving clients away, Todd Seabaugh told me "if you want reliability, you should use Exchange hosting, not POP3 accounts" Oddly, Today I have been put in charge of migrating a client who is currently furious with Confidus because of their downtime, who is on an Exchange hosted account with them.
Email was FREQUENTLY bounced or would go into a black hole, nobody there had any idea why. Servers had to be reboot constantly. I had websites that were lost. All the data in FTP sites were lost (5 gigs worth of data). Accounts that were compromised.
When you have a problem with Confidus, good luck getting support. I had to leave a message, and hours would go by and nobody would know there is a problem. I eventually got one of the owners cell phone numbers and was able to speed up the process each time their servers would go down, but it was becoming a weekly hassle. Literally, for months.
Confidus is anything but serious about reliability and customer satisfaction. I've moved all my customers (about 25 with hosting) to Host Gator about 1 year ago, and I haven't had ONE SECOND of down time with them. Confidus is a joke, they are way over priced, and you are paying for these clowns to learn how to run servers. I wasted thousands of dollars with these clowns and frustrated a lot of clients.
