I know that bursts a lot of peoples bubbles but i have been using there services for about 8 months now. the part that I am reading on every ones reports here is that there probly mad at the telemarketer cause they can talk at light speed sometimes and there not hearing what there saying but if i give my info out then i listen and tell them to slowww down that’s not something you just rush through. ok time for me to start addressing some issues I am seeing... 1. there website - www.consumerautorewards.com 2. there phones numbers - 866-335-2457 (just like every other customer service they do get busy but the longest I have waited was about 4 min) 3. trial period - i was told by the telemarketer there’s a 10 days trial period and i asked him twice to make sure but what it actually came out to be was a 17 day trial period because i wondered about my stuff getting to me in the mail so i called there number (above) they told me they attach a extra 7 days for the mail to get there I hope that answers a lot of issues that people are having. i hope that with this post that people will be able to get the information that they need and enjoy the program like i have.

unauthorized chargesw
This company has debited my account without authorization 4 times!! I have contacted them, they state I signed up for this program on my cell phone! I did no such thing! This company and a sister company, Consumer Auto Rewards Gas, have cost me over $200 in unauthorized charges along with $150.00 in overdraft fees! I called both companies and "canceled" this so called membership. They gave me confirmation numbers and advised my money would be back in my account in 3-5 days!! Instead of returning my money, they have debited my account again for a 5th time!!! They will be called 1 final time today, after that I am taking legal action!

shady company
I received a phone call from a telemarketer who claimed to be from my bank and who had a great deal for me. It was a savings packet and they claimed that if I was interested there would be a one time charge of 2.99. I would have 7 days to check out my packet and cancel, however there is a 100 dollar gift card to a nearby retail store.I received the packet in about a week after the phone call. I looked through it and realized that the products offered were not available in my state. I proceeded to call before the end of the trial period and the customer service rep tried to convince me to stay on. I explained to her that I cannot use the service due to my location and she told me to at least get an oil change. Again I said that is okay and she said that she would keep my account active and make a note to cancel in three days. She said all is taken care of until I received my statement.I called to get a refund and they explained that that was not possible. After arguing for many minutes I realized that we were going nowhere so I just quit. There should really be serious consequences for companies that choose to run business this way. I feel extremely cheated with my hands tied behind my back. If there is anyone who could help I would appreciate some advice. I am not quite done fighting yet.

Unauthorized Charges
Early April, I received a call on my cell phone informing me of this companys' rewards program. In order to receive the information I was required to pay a$2.95 handling fee. I gave the okay. The packagae would include a $100 gift certificate that I could redeem at a variety of store (Target, Home Depot, etc.). I was told that if I choose not to continue the program after the trial period that the gift certificate was mine to keep.

After several weeks and not having received the information, a charge of $29.96 and $25.00 was charged to my card. I notified my bank and reported the charges as not being authorized. I explained thes situation and they supplied me with the phone number to Consumer Auto Rewards. I immediately called and explained the problem and was told that my monies are not refundable because I called past the trial period. I explained that how was i to get in touch with them when I did not have any contact information. I did not get any repsponse to that question. Once told that my money would not be refunded. I told the }representative" that I wanted to speak with their supervisor and was told that they would tell me the same thing. I told the representative that if my money was not refunded, I am filing a complaint with the Attorney General's Office for Consumer Protection as well as the BBB. I was then informed that my $29.95 would be refunded in 5-7 days (This was on 04/22). I was hold however that the $25.00 is NOT refundable as it is a set-up fee. I told the representative that I DO NOT want the service. I was given a refund authorizaion number and a cancellation number.

I called my bank back and if the refund is not received in the specified time frame (give a day or so), I can duspute the charges (both the $29.95 & $25.00). It was also suggested that cancel my card and get a new one as apparently this company has been known to continue charges even if you cancel the service.

Total Scam (Didn't keep any promises & charged me more than $100
In February 2009 I was contacted by this office offering a $100 visa card if I would try their saving program for a trial period. I told them no at first, but after much persuasion, I gave in. (Second mistake- first was even listening to her in the first place) I agree that she could send me the package with the $100 visa card, bill me for shipping and handling. She said I could call at any time to cancel this. After agreeing to it, they switched me to another man who knew all of my credit card information, making me think it was legitimate and part of Visa Card. Then offered one more "deal" about auto benefits, and just for checking it out for a trial period I would get $100 of free gas.
Long story short, I never received anything in the mail, nothing, but, I was billed more than $100 to my credit card, and didn't find out until I saw my statement. I called them and they said I could only get $29.95 reimbursed. They are a total scam, I don't know how they got my info. We need to warn others!
Their phone numbers are: 866-335-7377 and 866-335-2457.

Scam, Scam, Scam
I also recieved a phone call (on my cell phone no less) and Consumer Auto Reward promised all of these great deals and $100 retail reward. I recieved the package in the mail and decided to calland cancel immediately. Well out of curiousity I decided to see if their claim that I was still entitled to the $100 reward (which came in the form of a piece of paper) and of course I found out that the website is a complete hoax. I really think it is sad that with the state of our nation that people would prey on others. After reading one of the related complaints I tried to call the number I had used to cancel my "membership", as they called it, and it is no longer in service imagine that.

Unauthorized Charges
My first experience with these people was a letter from Monterey financial Svcs to collect the sum of $203.70 on behalf of Consumer auto rewards. When I spoke to them they told me I owed this money from signing up online to participate in their rewards program. They charged me $29.99 to start and $28.95 each month after. I contacted my bank after these charges caused OD's in my checking account. I have talked to them a total of 8 times from December till March trying to recoup my money, I did speak to a supervisor and explained the whole situation also faxed my proof of all of these charges, a letter from my bank and the letter from Monerey Financial whom they still claim to "NOT KNOW" as of today I am still out over $200.00 and am mad a heck. These people are scamers and will take and take and never give back.

I am writing to my congressman, the BBB of Ohio and Florida and anyone else I can tell about these people. I am not the only one in my town with this problem I have talked to 3 other people who have been taken by these people. BEWARE

False Information/Scam
I received a telemarketing call on my cell phone about enrolling into Consumer Auto Rewards and the representative told me I will be receiving my $100 gift card rebate in the mail. The flimsy piece of paper which instructs you to proceed to their website www.getretailrebates.com is nonexistent. Cancel your membership as soon as possible by calling 800-335-2457 and tell them to go "F" themselves!!!

Membership fee
I received the material dated January 29, 2009 and here it states that and I canceled the program on 2/14/09. I was told that the program was free for the first 30 days. So why am I being charged? I never used anything.
