HARRASSMENT
THIS COMPANYISHORRIBLE!!! AT THISPOINT i'M READY TO TELL THEM TO GET THIS CAR JUST NOTO DEAL WITH THEM! AFTER MAKING ARRANGEMENTS WITH THEM THEY CONTINUE TO CALL MY HOME AND CELL PHONE OVER 20 TIMES A DAY... AND I';M NOT KIDDING! THEY NEED TOBE FINED OR SOMETHING! THE LEFT HANDDOESNT KNOW WHATTHE RIGHT HAND IS DOING AND DIFFERENTPEOPLE CONTINUE TOCALL EXPECTING A DIFFERENT AANSWER?? WHY DIO YOU CALL SO MUCH?i HAVE SOMETHING CALLED A JOB THAT I NEEDTO DO TO PAY YOU!!! THIS COMPANY SUCKS!!!

Harrassing Calls & Ripping Off
When I got laid off in April 08, I started to fall behind on payments, if I was one day late I was called and harrassed. I always made my payments and never let it get more then 1 month behind. I was unemployed till July 08 and single mother struggling just to make rent, utilities, daycare, food and expenses for Son on unemployment check. I still tried to make car payment but was harrassed daily and numerous times by CPS. They called family and friends and threatened them, asked them to make my payments or tried to get more information out of them but not stating who they were. In July 08 I was hired as PT employee with it becoming FT sometime in 09, so I took it because it was a little more money then unemployment but not much. I did Voluntary Repo and they said they would come get it, but continued to harass me, family, friends were now calling me at work on my work cell which I never provided that information to them. They said some pretty nasty things, belittle me and family ... still wouldn't come get car until I told them it was now uninsured, unregistered and sitting under tree and Hurricane was on the way. They threatened me in all kinds of ways from court, garnishing pay, taking assets. I always sent them extra money during Tax Refund trying to pay it down and off quicker and the amount I owed actually grew instead of decreasing. In Oct 08 I received Explanation of Calculation of Surplus or Deficiency, showing amount owed was about another 1k then what it was or should have been to my belief of what was owed after all payments made, amount sold for and stating I owed them around 2k so I looked at it as that isn't so bad when I next my Tax Refund for 08 in 09 I will call and try to settle with them, but in Nov 08 I received a letter saying that they have made several attempts to contact me which now was so FALSE not one phone call from anyone and I owed them around 5, 600. I called and tried to resolve the matter between the two letters and they claim that I do owe them 5, 600 not 2, 000. In all honestly everything they put me, my family, friends, even step daughter one time through, all the FTC rules they broke they should be paying me 5, 600 for the harassment, threats, embarassment, suffering and almost costing me my PT job!! This company should not be in business from all the research I have done on them I am not the only one who has suffered this way!!

CPS in General
People have been complaining about this company since its induction into the auto loan industry. These people are rude, hateful, overbearing...need I go on. I called to get a pay off on my auto loan and the woman was a cu**.
When I traded my vehicle in, CPS was the first to step up and take the new loan, they gave me a descent interest rate. Instead of giving them my actual work number, I gave them my company cell phone number (one that I always carry) because I knew the economy was getting bad, this is the reason why I traded down. I knew that if I got behind on a payment then they couldn't call the upper management where I work and harrass the shit out of them!! I recognize the number coming into both of my cell phones and I just don't answer now! They do call me 5, 6, 20394 times a day but I don't have a mail box full of messages from these as******!!! I called the car dealership that I deal with and told the Manager that if he ever attempted to put me with that sorry company again that I'd drive right through his showroom!!! I am trying to refinance with another bank or trade out, which ever happens first. I'd suggest we all get together and pick a day to call these people to let them know what we think of them. I don't mean call the customer service line because they don't care, I mean that we go further up the chain...to the CEO; flood his office with messages! then let them have back all the vehicles they financed. Let the financing world know that we won't take but so much of their crap!!! With the economy as bad as it is, now would be a great time to hit them where it WILL hurt!!! I don't know, just an idea!

Harassment
I purchased a 06 truck, and I got CPS as my bank. I didn't know who they were at the time, but now I wish I had done some research before I got into my vehicle. For the first couple of months, everything was fine. Made my payments on time, everything was good. I was late for the first time in 8 months do to business being slow, and they called the day after my due date. Now from my experience, if you are are late by one day or so, no one can call and demand you to pay them. Now, it is even worse. I have had the vehicle for 2 1/2 yrs., and they are getting worse. I have been out of work for 8 months now due to a work related injury. And they don't want to hear it. When people go from making X amount of dollars a month to less than half of what they are making, its tough on what has to be paid first. I don't know about everyone else, but keeping a roof over my head is more important.
CPS does not want to hear any excuses. They have no sympathy for anyone. I have been phone call after phone call. Even on Saturdays and Sundays. 3-4 times a day. My wife has had to deal with them for me cause I could not take it anymore. They have called all of friends, my family and my job looking for me. And asking them when am I going to pay.
I have made several attempts to try to stay in their good graces, but it don't matter. I have put myself and my family more and more into debt trying to cover the payments. And now, I have a way that I can do my payments without screwing myself or my bank account, and they don't want to hear it. I was willing to work it out, but they don't seem to care. They want me to pay $1150 now. That is my last payments and my next payment that is due next month. Plus interest and late fees. No one no where can come up with that kind of money. Especially if you have bad credit.
If there is to be a Class Action Suit against CPS, I am in. I am currently looking for a lawyer to discuss my options, and I am also looking for someone else for the loan for my vehicle. Some one that is more reliable and not so cold hearted. Please, please, if you are getting any type of loan, DO NOT go thru CPS. They will harass you to no end.

Harrassment
This company is STILL acting the same as I read in the complaints from last year!! They are HORRIBLE!! They call your job, cell phones, res phone, reference's, any freaking where they can get a breathing being to answer!!! There has to be some kind of law to protect us consumers from being treated this way. What ever happened to "treat people the way you want to be treated"? Surely if the employees believe in that they must have EXCELLENT credit!! Haha...these people probably don't even pay their bills on time...why do they have to treat people like they are scum. Anybody know who I can contact to file legal action on these people?? Please advise ASAP!! Thanks!

Unprofessional Phone etiquette
I am tired of harassing phone calls and when I follow through with what I say I will do, they still call me and are very unprofessional by telling me they are going to do this or that and even when I explain I didn't have a specific person's extension to leave my confirmation number for the payment I made and that I left it with a certain person whos extention I did have and they can check with that person, Frank proceeded to tell me I better call him back before 5pm today with the confirmation number that he wasn't checking with Linda and then he hung up on me. I proceeded to call Frank back at extension 5830 and tell him he was not to hang up on me and I wanted to talk to his supervisor. When I was connected to the supervisor, of course, whatelse I got a voice mail and it has been an hour and fifteen minutes ago I left my information and phone number and no call from the supervisor yet. With things the way they are in the economy, I have made every effort to make the payments I make arrangements to make when I say I will and CPS needs to learn how to handle their customers with dignity and compassion, not everyone makes the type money they make and we are doing the best we can. Just be more professional and talk to people like they are someone and not try to belittle them because they are behind on a payment and having a hard time to catch up. We the (customer) are people too.

Extremely Rude, Harrassing Phone Calls
I have had an auto loan with this company for over 3 years and until recently, my payment had never been late. The last couple of months, my payments were a couple of weeks late and they not only call me multiple times daily, they contact my mother, and others. Then, last week, I CALLED THEM to make an arrangement and the "customer service" rep says things to me like "What's your problem, do you not make enough money?" "What makes you think you don't have to pay your bills on time?" "Are you broke?" and finally, "Do you have an addiction? Is that where your money goes?" I was irate, asked to speak to a supervisor 6 times and was finally hung up on. I Contacted headquarters and was given the name of the "supervisor" for the Illinois branch. I have left no less than 10 messages for him and heard nothing!!!

Harrasment
I have been with this company for the past two years. And there has been times where i am not able to make the payments on time and i let them know and all they can say is that if payment is not made that they are going to pick up car. This is rediculous and what this company needs to do is get new agents with proper etiquette manners to be able to deal with there customers. All i know is that as soom as i am done with this company it will be the very last time i ever do business with them again. And, i will make sure that none of my family members or friends do business with them as well.

Haressment
I just received a call from CPS. I was one & half payments late on my auto loan. The original call was from a driver coming to repo my 2006 KIA. Today I made the half payment until tomorrow where the full payment could be made. The driver called and stated that he would be late in picking up my car and wanted me to verify my address. I told him "no" as payment had been made. He contacted the rep for CPS. I explained to her that I had made the a payment. She told me she would put the pick-up on hold until noon tomorrow. The driver kept interuping our conversation with rude remarks. I told him to stay out of this. He replied, you fucking smart mouth bitch, learn to pay your bills on time. NO ONE should have to put up with this type of abuse. Something needs to be done about this company and their harassment.
