Horrible Company
This company contact my electronics repair shop to complete a diagnostic on a customers television set. When diagnoses was completed and bill sent, they now refuse to pay. We have on paper the authorization, but now refuses to abide by that. They are very rude, everyone that I dealt with. The customer and the repair center both very unhappy with this "extended warranty" company. I would NEVER recommend this company for anything!!!

Horrible Warranty Service
I foolishly chose this warranty service over Applecare when I purchased a 17" Macbook Pro. Six months in I had issues with the keyboard and the power adapter stopped working as well. Contacted CPS and was told that the power adapter (Yes that would be the power cord providing power to the computer regardless of whether you are using the battery or not), I was told the power adapter was considered a peripheral device and was not covered under warranty. I was also told that the keyboard problems (intermittantly nor working at all) was a software issue and not covered under warranty. On top of being told this information, and trying to get a rationale explanation for what services exactly I paid CPS money to receive their customer service representative was one of the rudest people I have talked to in some time. If you purchase an Apple product BUY the Apple warranty. Once I purchased an extended warranty through Apple my power cord was replaced immediately!!! Don't waste your money with this company, all expenses fall on you as you have to ship your product to NY to get it fixed (if it covered under their inconsistent warranty).

Will not honor terms of warranty
I have a 5 year warranty on a 52' Sony Bravia television, purchased March of 2008. The company will not honor the warranty. The warranty purchase was a CPS TVH5-2500. They said that our tv is not fixable. We actually had Sony representative tell us what is wrong with the TV. The LCD board is going bad. To replace the LCD board is approximately $3, 200 and labor of $250. Consumer priority is giving us a choice of a refurbished 52" Sony Bravia and they will only warranty it for 90 days, or $1, 100 cash and we have to pay to ship the television back to them. All of the warranty information says that if the television needs to be shipped anywhere, it is shipped at their cost. Their warranty says that if the product cannot be repaired that it will be replaced with a product of concurrent features and functionality. The service contract says no deductibles or hidden fees. The television can be fixed. What are my options? Do I have any power at all?

Warranty Service
In July of 2009 I bought an ONKYO TXN-R906 home theatre receiver/amplifier ($1900 replacement cost) from PowerSellernyc.com. They were very pushy about the buying the CPS 4 Year Warranty. On 5/31/2010 the am/fm tuner failed. After almost 2 weeks of getting the runaround from CPS I sent the unit to them on 6/15/2010 for Warranty Repairs. A few days later I received an email by Mike at CPS stating the amp had been damaged in shipment and was beyond economical repair. They sent pictures in the email. The only damage was the rear graphics overlay for all of the plugs and jacks had been bent out in one corner. No impact damage was evident. From the CPS pictures it looks as if the panel was pried out (no dents or anything that would indicate any type of impact). The amp was very well packed. It was wrapped in soft foam, padded with 1.5" thick sheet styrofoam. Bubble wrap and plastic air bags filled the space between the sheet styrofoam and the cardboard carton to prevent possible shifting in transit. I sent the item by USPS Insured for $1700. USPS says there is no visible damage to the package so they are denying the claim. CPS says it was damaged in shipment so they are voiding the Warranty. From the start I got the runaround from CPS and they did everything possible to prevent honoring the Warranty claim. USPS now says I have 60 days to retrieve my property or they will dispose of it. I don't know where it is or in what condition. I have been ripped off first by CPS and now the USPS is finishing the job. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! At this point it appears that my only recourse to contact an attorney to file suit against USPS and CPS and let the courts sort it out.

CPS
My HP Compaq laptop was just counting its last days, I was just waiting for it to have its last breathe. Its defected hard disk and troublesome RAM has driven me nuts during all these few months and I was just about to sell it second hand. One of my friends then recommended me the name of Consumer Priority Service to get it repaired. As I had no option left, I bought 1 year warranty from them for my laptop that could cover its maintenance. It was to my surprise that the team at CPS was quick to detect the problem and correct it. Now I can use my lappy with same efficiency as earlier and even I have dropped the idea to sell it. Thanks CPS.

Misleading company
This company listed my company as one of the vendors to supply their service. I looked them up and found numerous complaints about them selling Extended Warranties and not providing the service sold. When I called to see why my company was listed as one of the Service Vendors, they admitted they got our info from the phone book. Don't be mislead by this company aka CPS. http://www.cpscentral.com. Do an internet search of Consumer Priority Service Complaints Scam and read them before paying any $$ to this company.
