Myself, daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren all of which are under the age of three were returning from Disney. Right from the beginning of the flight I could tell that the attentdants were rude, impatient and not helpful at all. Our nightmare began at the onset of take off (already on the run way). My youngest grandchild is nine months old and was fine up until that time. I had her in the next aisle and the other two children were with their parents in another aisle. All of a suddent the nine month old began screaming but not in the usual way- it was obvious that she was in pain. The lady next to me offered help that's how much the baby was crying. My daughter, hearing this, asked the lady to pass her the baby - which we did. In that row were only my son-in-law and daughter and the two kids. My daughter realized she was having some sort of obdominal pain and took off the diaper to check her. The attentdant walked over very rudely and said "you cannot do this here". My daughter then asked if she could go to the restroom. The attentdant said no due to the fact we were about to take off. Her husband asked the attendant what would you like us to do. We would like to make sure she is ok. She then walked away rudely and the flight attendant in the front of the plane walked over and asked my son-in-law to step out of his seat and come to the front. He did. He tried to explain what had happened and he was quite rude. After returning to his seat the pilot announces "we are returning to the gate because it seems there is a gentelmen who wants to stay in Orlando". This is the story. Over absolutely nothing we were humiliated and treated rudely.
The police came, we were questioned by the FBI - all over a nine month old baby. Now my point is:
1- Seeing the child in abnormal disstress shouldn't she have asked i s there something I can do? The people around us were concerned why not she?
2-Did the pilot have to announce and humiliate us over the loud speaker? Is this the way someone who has the life of all those passengers should behave?
3-Did we have to be surrounded by police and FBI especially traveling with three small children - again over nothing?
4-We were told by the FBI agent that the crew were not there to accomodate us just to get us from one place to another. Then why are they there at all and why such hight prices to fly?
All this is my side as a, grandmother and mother, of the story. I wish someone could investigate what happened. I have traveled all to many destinations in my life and never was treated so inhumanly than this! I still would like to persue this and take action.
