My vehicles are being held hostage/stolen by Continental Auto Movers
My vehicles are being held hostage/stolen by Continental Auto Movers . My contract clearly states my credit will be charged (after I paid a deposit) upon delivery of my cars. The 3rd party trucker demanded cash upon delivery. Since I was unwilling and unable to pay cash, the 3rd party trucker re-located my cars to Chicago and is holding them hostage for payment from Continental Auto Movers. "Phillip" the head dispatcher admitted that Continental Auto Movers screwed up in contracting credit card with me --and-- contracting cash with the trucker. He fully admitted this in a three-way phone call between he, I and the 3rd party trucker. After 15+ calls to Trudy and Phillip, I have no response or commitment WHEN I will receive my vehicles. Today is Day #11 since pick-up and my cars are being held hostage. The broker (Continental) is not paying the trucker and I am being penalized.

Cars held hostage
I could not be more angry or disappointed in the lack of service I have received from Continental Auto Movers. I am in the process of moving 2 vehicles from NorCal to NE Ohio.
I gave CAM 4 days notice ("no problem" per Trudy @CAM) to pick up the first car--- both cars were picked up 8 days later after I called 4x day each day with a rare return phone call.
My contact clearly states my credit will be charged (after I paid a deposit) upon delivery of my cars. The 3rd party trucker demanded cash upon delivery. Since I was unable to pay cash, the trucker has re-located my cars to Chicago and is holding them hostage for payment from Continental Auto Movers.

At this time, I have NO IDEA when I will get my cars (today is day #11 since pick-up). I have made a dozen calls to Continental where all people PROMISE to call me back and I have not had a returned phone call YET.
I would avoid ANY transaction with CAM as they cannot be trusted. My cars are being held hostage at this point and I anticipate I will have to file them as stolen property to somehow get them back.

Terrible service
I recently sold a truck on Ebay. The buyer contacted Continental Auto Movers to make the pick-up. The company called and scheduled a pick-up date of October 22-23(Thurs-Fri). No show on either day, so Friday evening I called. It took me 4 tried to get through to anyone. When I finally did they informed me that they were running a little behind and would be able to pick up the truck on Monday. When they did not show on Monday I called them again and was told Tuesday evening or Wednesday mornign at the latest. Here it is Friday October 30th and still no show or follow-up. I have tried contacting them for several days, so has the buyer, with no response or call-backs.
This is no way to run a business. It's very stressful for me because I cannot make any plans to be away from town because I need to be here when the finally do arrive to pick up the vehicle.
