Recent Credit Report
I applied and received a credit card through Continental Finance earlier this year, and since I was starting school, I decided to pay my student fees with the card. Since the fees were only $48.00, and I remember this because when I initially recieved the card, I was told by a customer service representative that my limit for my first purchase was of $50.00 until I made a $250.00 payment to receive my full limit of the card. One month later, I went on line and made my paymet and paid the $48.00 charge which I had acquired on the card from my recent purchase. Since I had not made any other purchases, I decided to continue making the minimun monthly payment in order to receive my full available credit.
Yesterday when I was attempting to co-sign for my little sister's car payment, it appeared on my credit history that I had failed to make payments on the card and owed them $500.00. I ask myself, how is this possible if the card had a limit of $300.00 which I never reached and was making the monthly minimum payments. As a result of this, I am now waiting to hear from the lender to be approved as a co-signor and the vehicle which we were initially going to make the offer on, might be sold to a different buyer.

I never Had A Credit Card
I never applied for a credit card, and believe that someone has used my information to get a line of credit. I told them that I would like to dispute it, and they demanded that I pay. Instead of trying to help resolve the matter, they just told what I was gonna do and that was that. I would lust like to receive some sort of assistance to resolve this matter.

Rip-off
After several attempts to give them back their card after they put charges on the account that caused it to over the credit limit, and the calls of harrassment, threats of turning me into the credit bureau, I even offered to pay the the bill down to the original $250.00 credit line and give it back to them and they refused, I am trying to find out who and where I go for help in this matter. I feel that this company is trying to get rich off of the poor people who may or may not have good credit and use them, most credit card companies do not charge such high fees, unless attached to an secured credit card, this is not such a card, and the representatives lie and mislead you into activating these cards, someone needs to stop this company and put the out bussiness. If you have any way of helping, please contact me as soon as possible.

fraud
I have been a cardholder since 2006. I have always paid at least the minimum due and my payments have always been early. Imagine my surprise when receiving my Feb. 2009 statement and seeing that not only was I overlimit, but that many other charges were applied to my account. I had a "late fee", "overlimit fee", and a "cli" fee which was explained as a "Credit line increase fee". After finally reaching a "Human", he explained that my payment had been cancelled online at their website ezcardinfo.com. I explained that I had the receipt but he was indignant and stated that Continental had no control over the website as far as online payments and that since it was showing cancelled, they had no recourse but to charge the fees. I explained once again that I had not cancelled the payment. He said that he was sorry but there was nothing he could do. What a good way to make money. I know that times are tough, but why cheat a good customer? There has to be something better!

Unauthorized charges
A few months ago I applied for this credit card in hopes of rebuilding my credit. Although I knew about the initial fees, I did not realize their unethical methods of charging late fees on your account.
When I first activated the card, I was contacted by a very rude employee asking that I make a payment. This was of course two weeks before my scheduled due date. After I made the payment, I was told that my payments are due on the 15th each month.
Well, after making my next payment on time I realized I had been charged a late fee. When I called them to ask why, they said because my payment was due on the 12th. This was completely bogus because we had agreed that the payment is due on the 15th each month. Not only do they change due dates on you causing additional charges, they charge you all kinds of fees for just making your payment.
Once I realized the unethical standards of this company, I asked them to cancel this card. It will be interesting to see if they actually do it. My advice: Stay away from this company.

No Card Ever Received and I got a bill before it was activated
This is truly some b.s., I applied for a MC with Continental Finance in the beginning of December 08 and still have not received a da** card, however...guess what I did receive, a DA** BILL. I've tried to call all contact numbers but have not been able to get through to anyone. To top it all off the credit limit is $300 and like $250 in upfront fees...this truly got to be a joke. I will never deal with these people ever again and wait until I get done with this company, they are going to wish they never played games with me or anyone else for that matter.

Big Fat Scam
I applied for this card on-line because it said that you could help re-build. This was suppose to be a card for people with less than perfect credit. The card arrived shortly after applying for it. I called and activated the card and was informed that my credit limit was not $300.00 but actually $50.00. The majority of the funds would go to a one time set-up fee. Ok, I then used the card at the gas station. Before my first bill came, I made a payment on-line for the $50.00. I received confirmation that the payment was made. I got my bank statement and the payment was withdrawn from my checking account. One week later I got a bill from this credit card company. They were charging me $30.00 for a late fee. $30.00 for an overdraft fee. I then contacted the credit card company and spoke with a Mr. Naesh. I asked for a last name and a I.D. number. The gentleman stated that they do not go by I. D. #'s. I then explained to him that I made a payment. He then stated, that even though the payment was made on-line before my due date, he stated that the funds did not clear out of my bank account in time. I advised him that it did and that I would fax over proof. They gave me a fax number and I faxed over the proof of my payment. I called back to confirm that my fax received and I spoke with a Ms. Washington. She advised me that she didn't see any notes in the system that I had a conversation with Mr. Naesh. She stated that my new balance that I owed was $408.16. I told her that there was no way that I would be paying that because I made a payment for what I used off the card before the bill was even due. She also stated that well intrest will accure on the account and that the account would be turned over to collections. I advised her that I faxed over proof of the payment and I can fax it over again. The bottom line is, this company is a scam. Not only do they hurt your credit more, but they also take the money that you pay and then state that you never paid. I had to contact my bank to have a stop payment put on my account, which cost me money. This compnay is not about helping you in any type of way. They are here to make whatever kind of money they can from consumers that are trying to get their credit on track.

harassing calls
My bill is up to date, i have the statements to prove it. i have never been late.. On thanksgiving morning, i got a call. Woke me up at about 8. i didnt pick up because i had no clue who it was. after about 4 or 5 more calls i finally answered. They said that they were from continental finance, and were trying to collect my "nearly due" payment. She said the payment was due on dec. 22, and asked if i would like to make a payment over the phone right now. I told her i dont give financial info over the phone, and that they would get there money before the due date. She said thank you have a nice day.
Since then i have been getting 10-20 calls per day. every day. The telemarketrs are threatening, and VERY rude. over this "nearly due" payment. They have been asked to stop. they claimed that they would take me off the list. But 20 minutes later. i got another call.
My thoughts are, I think they are harassing people, hoping that they will pay the card off and cancel. Because with the $250 worth of charges they apply before you even use the card.. They get people to cancel the card out, They just made $250 for doing absolutely nothing.
Another thing. i would always make my payemnt at the begining of the month. the due date is on the 22nd. And no matter if i pay it on the 1st of the month, the payment doesnt show up in my available balance until a week or 2 after the due date. And from what i have read they do this to everyone, And its usually the time that they take out any fees or charges, So that they can hit you with an over limit fee and all that crap.
These people are con artists of the lowest form and should be stopped. I will be contacting my attourney general on the matter. I have been recording the phone calls and will use their own tactics against them.
