Our two Contour Adjustable Beds were delivered, on 3/12/2011, set up and demonstrated. A short time later I raised the bed to put the bottom sheet on. I put my left hand on the raised section, of the mattress, and leaned over to put the corner of the sheet over the corner of the bed and the frame of the bed broke off causing the bed to collapse and me to fall.
The company has been difficult to deal with, except for taking our full payment check, from the delivery driver whom insisted on parking the delivery van in a spot that forced the delivery be made through mud and water that soiled two of our carpets. The delivery people never introduced themselves and were rude. The people at Contour have an excuse for every question, IE they won't be in the office until xx, or you have the wrong phone number.
When I called Contour that afternoon the person at Contour said that there would be no service until the following week so I told him that I was going to cancel the order. He promptly told me he would have the lawyers call me the following week. I explained that our contract stated that I had until Monday the 14, to cancel and then he changed his demeanor somewhat.
Our cancellation notice has been received but a refund check has not been issued. I am told they will not issue a refund check until the beds are picked up, which is suppose to happen 3/18/2011 between 4:30 and 5:00 PM.
Contour Adjustable Beds is, based on this experience, not a company I can recommend and I will not deal with in my life time.
